Is it just me or this game is "slow"? I mean running, shooting, heavies that die after 60 shots, slow tanks, slow swarm missiles. Would you guys like to have a faster game? opinions please

I like the slowness. I play COD, alot. COD is really fast paced and whatnot. The change in pace is really nice. |

It's meant to be slow, since the beginning it has that high HP warfare which relies far more on tactics than who has the best reflexes. Could say Star Wars Battlefront games are similar in that sense. |

I have to say I enjoy the more methodical game play.

It seems slow ever since this new build came in. It's more focused on team based play as a consequence of gameplay changes than on personal enjoyment.
As far as running speed - yes, it's DRASTICALLY slower than it's made out to be. Scout suits apparently move the fastest but they just barely top average sprint speeds of normal human beings in the modern day. Apparently, Usain Bolt can sprint faster than a man with servomotor assisted limbs. |

This game is really slow and it turns off players and continue to continue to turn off players. They at least need increase movement and sprint speed across the board. |

It's slow. Especially the turning. I like my aiming speed faster than this. In MAG, I have everything 100 and it's not even fast enough for me. |

I would hardly call that motorcycle helmet and jumpsuit combo that the Scout wears "heavy ass armor".

If it is meant to be slow...they better change it because it dulls the game. See, how large some of the maps are? Especially, the ones they took away because of framerate? Why should the movements be so slow?
People enjoy their fast gameplay....that's what makes the "moment-to-moment" gameplay exciting. |

A little speed boost to everything wouldn't hurt my feelings any considering how long it takes to walk anywhere. |

The gameplay has gotten slower every build that I have been in. ( I started in the one where you took the first two objectives and then the second half of the map opened up)
Also, slow doesn't mean more tactical. Tactics comes down to maps, e.g. objective placements, terrain, etc, and player counts.
on the current maps there seems to be little tactics more often than not zerging around in a circle say on the 5 point map following the flashing letters. though addmittedly this may change if player counts are upped and corps and deploy fully and squads can/ will stay in certain locations.
Personally, game needs to be sped up. |

I like the Speed. It creates a game where forethought is very useful. If you run into a pack of enemies, take one out and realize you're surrounded and can't escape, you're ******. You increase the speed and you can keep repeatedly doing this with no issues. Not to say you can't already do this, I've managed to get surrounded by 3 enemies after killing their buddy and using the terrain managed to beat them all, but due to the speed I couldn't just run away. That was one of my best fights to date.
Scouts have more stamina and move quite a bit faster. They may not be superspeed but they will outrun other players. The problem is people are using bad fits for their scouts, get some **** that makes it faster, upgrade your mobility and instead of using armor, use shields.
Somone said "Slow Tanks", lol no. I've seen tanks that go extremely fast for a Tank, it's all about your fittings.
Finally, to answer the person who said "Why move so slow on such large maps". Eventually we're going to be fighting on Districts that will be massive (Go to your map when fighting, Zoom out, go top Right corner, and then go all the way to the bottom left corner, that'll be the size of a district). The idea of not being able to superspeed it across districts is that it means you'll use vehicles. You can use your LAVs to get around to various places but you'll definitely want a Dropship Pilot when on a mountainous region. Make sense?

I, as well, find the speed fine. Who knows, maybe there is some processing advantage to the slower game speed. They have a ways to go before what we are playing represents what I understand ccp's overall vision for the game. Even at release. But...Beta, right?
Foundational gameplay focused on deep, tactical team enhanced combat feeling good thus far. Mostly performance and group mechanics with a ton of polish is needed. |

My opinion: it is too slow. Infantry combat needs a slight speed boost, sometimes i feel as though we're fighting underwater. I know we're wearing armoured suits that weigh us down but surely there must be servoes and hydraulics to not only augment but increase our base speed? Having read the source material for our 'immortals' that seems to be the case with the futuristic armour we're supposed to be wearing. While on the topic of futistic eqjuipment: why in the name of god are swarm launchers so pathetically slow?!?
I suspect some of the reason for the slow speed with infantry is down to the design choice to make us walking EVE vessels. Recharging shields make hit and run tactics optimal, take speed out of hit and run and we get plodding slogging matches.
A slight speed increase would be good, 10-20%. I think the slow movement speed will turn people off on release especially if/when we get larger maps. Before anyone says "use teamwork to transport and get around the map" we're talking about a free-to-play FPS on a console, my experience of those 3 things does not make me optimistic about teamwork on release day. |
