One of my jobs is at GameStop and the SM gave me his Dust code since he doesn't play PS3. Since content is subject to change, I was hoping the GS Merc pack could be tweaked to an actual GS branded pack(or something) besides just a Merc pack.
Could always use a different Logi suit.... |

I didn't know the was a GS merc pack. Or is that what you're asking fo in this thread? Sorry I'm just a bit unsure about what you mean. |

A lot of times there is special content for games that you can only get if you buy it at a certain store. It's one of the few ways places like gamestop are able to continue to exist in an age of digital downloads.
Personally, I hate it, and I hope DUST never implements such a thing. |

Gamestop has already done this, i know, i've bought two from gamestop.com
The only difference is that instead of the Toxin ICD-9 Sub Machine Gun, you get a "Syndicate" Sub Machine Gun. Has the same stats as the Toxin and everything just a different color and word description...where the toxin is like a white or silver color, the Syndicate is like a black and red variant. |

The toxin was on the list.
It's the Merc pack with GameStop in the title and an extra gun.
I now have four Merc packs. Something different would be nice. |

go to www.gamestop.com and search for Dust514 and it will come up as merc pack....actually i did it for you...

I think gamestops colors are black and red so I guess that makes sense aye? |

It'd be nice if there were a sticky someplace on the forums which contained updated information on all the promos/offers related to Dust so that we could keep track of them.
I saw the MAG promo and picked up those suits but I know of many players who didn't even hear about it until after the promotion was already over (same thing happened to me with the PS+ discount).
As to the Gamestop promo, am I correct in understanding that it's essentially a cosmetic addition in that the Toxin and the Syndicate have the same stats just with different color schemes applied? |

+1 I hate that **** soooo much. Getting punished for not buying a the game from a specific place. Special hate for when different shops offer different EXCLUSIVE content. How do I get all of it? Buy the game more than once? grrrhhhhh..... |
