On Xbox Live, there's a way to add people to a list so you are less likely to end up matchmaking with them. My request is simple. Allow us to have a list to add to where, if the matchmaking finds a certain person in a match, it won't add you to that match. This should allow players who are getting used to the game have fun without getting flattened by a team of extremely skilled players.
I believe that this is one of the main causes which frustrates new players and ultimately causes them to quit the game. I've been in several matches, matchmaking by myself, and found many of the elite corps grouped up on the same team. The results have been jawdropping. Many of which my team was instantly redlined in Skirmish, or resulted in a 70-0 loss in Ambush.
Giving it some more thought, maybe you could add a timer to the list where the name stays on there for a certain time frame, say 7 days, and after the time period is up, remove the name from the list. |

I'm glad to see you think our corp is elite, but I do most of the work :P (this part is a joke, do not take it seriously as some guys do)
I could see this working in some random matches, but there would be several problems with it. Good players could avoid other good players and end up in random matches and dominate, so I guess it depends on how they program it. Also in things like nullsec, you'll have to play the best players in the game, as they will be the ones getting hired.
They are adding in a matchmaking system that matches players on things such as SP, which will probably fill this role prett well. |
