I thoroughly agree with the following posts (ability to remove turrets):
Remove Vehicle Turret 1
Remove Vehicle Turret 2
I would like to go a step further to vehicle customization such as the following examples:
- LAV - Optional vehicle top cover instead of turret
- LAV - Different available wheels, possibly tracks
- LAV - Reinforced front bumper/grill (LAV battering ram)
- HAV - Different track layouts, possibly wheels and other
- Dropship - Gun placement customization - There is six passenger slots; pick which to set guns. I would prefer front slots.
- Dropship - Optional reinforced side covers instead of side guns
The weapon customization request was given, highly supported, and reportedly being implemented by CCP. Therefore, why not do the same with vehicles? If you have any additional vehicle customization ideas, please feel free to provide them. |

No there not bad ideas, just imagine all the things the ps3 has to support and its only got a like what a 700mhz processor? |

But it would be nice to have some vehicle customization so you know its yours, maybe even adding in a locking module so its only for your biometrics that way someone cant run off with my tank ^^ |

I support this. Ideally, the free LAV that you get should ONLY be able to be used as a transport, and be unable to be modded, an add a 4th seat on the back. |

Can we get the ability to remove all but the main cannon on the HAV to get empty slots where you can fit extra modules and stuff.
Its like with the dropsuits, I could fit everything except a main weapon. |

I think this suggestion along with many other, give me more customization is just too early at this point.
The ps3 is currently having trouble rendering the massive amount of graphics and data on screen as is. CCP is trying to delivery hd quality game play that is smooth with the lowest lag possible. That along will take a very long time to get to and with each addition of vehicle types, weapons, explosions, etc, it is going to be an ongoing challenge.
It is going to start small like logos on suits/vehicles and go from there. Anything that changes the design of the vehicle itself seems years away. You also have to factor in that CCP revenue stream is partially based on you buying custom and unique suits. I have seen posts where they have said about how customization will come when the time is right. It's going to be a very slow process and personally, I think the game mechanics need to be spot on before customization should enter their minds.
As far as allowing removing turrets, seems like something minor they could adjust for, then again, it does require more graphic models in the game. They may decide to just introduce new versions of those vehicles with no turrets at this point. |

which would be nice because I need a HAV with no turrets, sick of people jumping in and giving away my position.
Also can we get a vehicle profile dampener and scan profile reduction just like how we have with dropsuits?
I mean HAV's need stealth too and Black Ops Tanks dont work very well being too expensive and weak for the ISk you pay, just to get a profile reduction when barley anyone fitted them.
