If they are doing this to test what they already have... then they need to fix their software as this past week has been nothing but "You have been disconnected from the server" or super laggy on the usual suspect maps. In other words, their stress test already failed upon everyday use.
Thank you Cyn. CCP, your policy of not telling your beta testers anything of value in any kind of timely manner continues to hamstring this game development cycle.
And just to be clear: those of us still here playing love this game and what it could become. We sure as kittens aren't hanging about because of your abundant feedback and info transparency.
So, try something different, CCP. Actually tell us what's going on and what to expect! Why would a server stress test this Saturday give you any data that you haven't already gathered during this build? Someone around here has mentioned the persistent stifling, game killing lag, right? Not the first you've heard, right?
I am asking because people ask when they don't know. And we often don't know because you don't Tell us what's going on or coming up
And, respectfully, CDR Wang, those two weekly posts regarding issues you are tracking and what you are working on...
We don't have to live in Shanghai to recognize a whitewashed cover up. I appreciate the effort, honestly. I was the one who lobbied hard for that feedback over the summer. But we both know that what you are saying in those posts has been filtered and processed more than KFC chicken
Now, we don't work for CCP and haven't any Need To Know about internal business progress. But many of the few remaining beta testers would really appreciate some more frequent, honest feedback from the devs
It is so frustrating to check the Dev post section daily and see half a dozen new posts...all threadlocks.
Wall of text, sorry. I have been holding back for some time now.
Why do you think a stress test this Saturday will give you new info? |
