Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about this being fixed soon.
To clarify, this is the glitch that often happens when you get to close to objects, players, or unclimable ledges which makes it impossible to strafe. It fixes itself after a bit sometimes and can be corrected by jumping and holding sideways a few times. It is ungodly detrimental to get in a firefight (this happens to me WAY too often) and sometimes happens when your not near anything mentioned above (I've had it happen even while running out in the open on the main road on Line Harvest.) |

The new physic model for infantry they implemented in CODEX is a complete joke. Collision between characters, walls, unable, blocks due to small terrain bumps etc...
I'm ready to bet 1M ISK that the model is from the MAG developpers in the dev team. |

Had it happen to me in combat situations, it's even less funny than being stopped by geography altogether and not being able to move at all when HMG is ripping you to shreds.
Having said that: crouching fixes it instantly, so just tap triangle twice. You're welcome. |

Didn't know about the crouch trick. I've ran into the same issue, and always assumed it was a latency issue. Reasoning is that when it happens I also have an issue firing my weapon. It makes the noises, and the ammo counter starts to drop, but does no damage even though you see shield flashes. When I finish shooting, it bumps ammo back up to the pre-firing level. This almost always happens at the same time that I cannot strafe, again making me assume we're looking at a lag issue. |

I had this happen last night, and my brother reminded me of a fix from another game. Look straight up in the air, and spin around a couple times. This should fix the strafe problem. It fixed it for me! |
