Could you please find a way to eliminate the players that have inappropriate names on their characters. The game has a T rating, not an M.

I agree, but technically online game play is not rated nor does it require a rating for this game type. |

Should you want to report any offensive name please feel free to send an email to [email protected]
For info, the Game Rating refers to the game content itself. As mentioned in the Terms and Conditions however we do not tolerate any offensive name being used in game and we do try to act quickly and efficiently when such name is spotted we also greatly appreciate users reporting any offensive character name by using the above method. |

That is certainly appreciated, as I'm sure we all remember some of the names in the E3 build back before they were really being censored. |

I think what he is getting at is a guy I have been seeing as well.His game tag(not joking)is CHILD MOLESTER .Thats a liitle over the top.IMO

Child Molester, as a name, is an obvious no no (dude is obviously a complete moron). Buttmunky, though, do we really care about this?
So, who is going to start, with telling others what is or isn't appropriate, to dictate to others what they can or cannot say/name their characters? Who's "opinion" of what is appropriate are we going to go by?
Once you start down this road where do you stop? There is nothing I hate more than a naz! scum bag, who thinks they have the right to dictate to others what is right and what is wrong or how people should think or treat others. Everyone is entitled to their own view of how people should interact with others in society.
If you wish for your childeren to be sheltered from the harsh realities that society regularly provides, it is not the place of society to provide that shelter (man I wish some people could get this simple logic through their thick skulls) IT IS UP TO YOU TO PROVIDE THAT SHELTER AND NO ONE ELSE! If you don't want your childern exposed to it, it is YOUR responsibility to limit their exposure, and you have absolutely no one else to blame if they are exposed (anything else is nothing but a ridiculous cop out, intended to protect your own ego from the reality of your own lazyness and/or hypocrisy). End of story!
You don't like the environment that the FPS/gaming community provides, then don't let your children participate in them. Christ, didn't we solve this problem, like two hundred and some odd years ago?
{Edit>>> Where is the irony in complainning about someone's character name in a game where the entire goal is to MURDER your opponent? Is this not already more fundementally offensive by an enormous gap? |

I don't care for the most part, but offensive names can make it more difficult for those of us with wives or children who can see them. One can use a headset to shield others from the voice channel, but the names are flashed up for all in the room to view.

And by difficult I don't mean just protecting innocence. It can be difficult enough to get spousal acceptance for playing a 'violent' game the number of hours that DUST requires without having to explain that the others you are spending so much time with online aren't all socially ******** kittens. |

Make a name filter option for the game, make a list of words you dont like your wife, kid or dog to read and apply it, now theres a hole lot of players named a lot of asterisk's... |
