i find myself since after the e3 build spending way more aur than i will be willing to do every month when dust launches. i think the e3 isk payouts or the triple isk week we just had were closer to what the payouts need to be. i want to spend aur not because i have to due to low isk payout but because i want to. to those that will say oh you just arent playing well i would say explain the economics of me being #1 or #2 on the end of match leaderboard and getting 118k isk while killing 17 infantry 2 lav's and capturing 2 objectives. that payout will buy 2 or 3 type A dropsuits which are built with a combination of isk and aur modules. in order for me to play more than a couple matches at the current isk payouts i am spending about $30 worth of aur per month. i am also an eve subscriber so between the 2 i am spending 45 per month. this is way too much real money to enjoy myself. it should be closer to the 20 worth of aur per month mark which i think is more than enough for ccp to make a profit off my gameplay.
please ccp increase the isk payout or i will be playing a lot less dust or considering cancelling my eve sub. i cant justify both

To be fair i blew 40k Aur in two weeks at the start on newbie gear and BPO's. After that there isn't much use for it IMHO, Only time i would buy a weapon for 70 AUR is if I had a corp battle and no ISK to buy guns.
Boosters are nice when you start a character but after that id say there pretty pointless, I can grind my SP cap by playing 3-4 nights a week.

1. Die less. The less dropsuits you lose, the more ISK you save. 2. Learn to manage your income. Dust was never meant to be played with expensive gear every time to spawn. Expensive gear is like a credit card. You don't use it until you really need it. 3. It's not always bad to go back to militia. In Eve Online, veteran players who have been around since the birth of Eve Online are still roaming in fleets composing mainly of rookie ships numbering in the thousands taking down a single Hulk or Megathron. They lost a lot of ships, but the expense of doing so was almost non-existent even when factoring in ammo cost. Dust players today are able to do pretty well with militia fits. 4. Militia fits also keep your gun game and resource management honed in because you are constantly learning how to make the most of what little you have.
This is not meant as an insult. This is actual advice. |

This.
The amount of money ccp is getting from beta alone blows my mind. I would draw out beta as much as possible too if people were PAYING actual money to play it.

You can get type I logistics and assault suit BPOs for AUR now. Your best bet is to buy one and use it as your main suit (As I am a heavy, I don't have this option yet). As an AUR user I use my AUR for BPOs and skill boosters. My isk I use as little as possible and I have netted a reserve of isk in the tens of millions because of that.
Getting isk is not a problem if you spend as little as possible with the mechanics allowed.

I blew up 240K Aur and continue to do so Lolz. The trick to not using AUR is ;- 1. Dont go heavy 2. Buy the militia BPOs and fit your dropsuits with that 3. Invest in the Raven/SVER dropsuits 4. Invest in passive skill boosters |
