Laser rifle user here. I only have the advanced one, the ELM I believe. I really like how there is versatility between anti-infantry and anti-vehicle capabilities. Lasers can blap a clone in a second with a high enough charge at range but it takes an entire clip to kill a militia assault in CQC. And they can strip the shields of a shield tank in at least 2.5 clips. 1 clip if it's an armor tank.
The only thing that I'm wondering is if the overheat is working as intended? Because it's impossible to overheat the laser rifle with the advanced laser rifle. |

Well, from my experience, when i'm shooting a heavy with a LR, i'm maintaining a pretty good headshot. It's easier because you guys are big and slow. That probably fills the armor handicap gap. |

Ummm, the standard laser rifle does overheat. And when it does, you take damage from your own weapon. Only the Advanced and prototype weapons don't overheat. |
