Nope, but infantry get one-shotted by most vehicle-mounted weapons, and torn apart faster by the only NON-one-shot vehicle weapon than we do by ARs, and usually die from a single grenade instead of taking several, and can't move as fast as a tank to avoid unguided attacks.

You're suggesting that that make everything work the SAME, instead of working differently in a fair manner.
Swarms lock on, yes. But they have to spend time with line of sight to the target before they can launch, and they deal reduced damage against shields.
Forge Guns only need a few shots (my Militia BPO Sica can take up to 3 shots from a cheap FG), but Sniper Rifles only need one headshot on most infantry, Shotguns don't even need headshots, and Missile Turrets and Railguns are easy one-shot kills on most Dropsuits as well.
AV grenades track their targets, but even HAVs - the slowest vehicle - move significantly faster than the fastest speed-tanked Scout suit can sprint, meaning they're MUCH better suited to escaping the blast if it didn't follow them.
Short of a coordinated multi-person strike, I've never seen any HAV drop as fast as infantry do to a lone enemy at a similar range. Tanks are already tough enough to take down, and if you're equipped specifically to deal with a vehicle, you'll be vulnerable against infantry. If a tank is properly supported, it can be almost impossible to bring effective AV firepower against it.
The only thing tanks really need is for ALL their Turrets to be buffed slightly. Large Missile Turrets have lost WAY more than they should have. They don't need to go back to how they were, but they should be better than they are. Small turrets are all VERY slightly weaker than I think they should be, and all need some kind of a buff. Large Railguns turn just a LITTLE too slowly, and Large Blasters could use some form of tweaking - I'm leaning towards saying they should overheat slower. |
