I dusted off my tritton ax pro headset the other day, in the hope of doing some chatting in Dust.
I am pretty sure I have everything connected, but I hear no voices in Dust...either in team or squad. I've made sure Dust has voice enabled.
What's going on? Am I missing something? |

Do you see little speaker symbols? If so, are they next to your name or other's? Are they white (listening) or green (speaking)? Is there a speaker symbol half way down the left side of the screen during combat?
Also, have you enabled the accessory in the PS3 settings menu? |

Yes...I have all that. However, the only speaker symbol I ever see is my own and never anyone else's...either in team or squad. I also notice mine turns green when I speak. |

That simply means that no one else is using the voice chat feature.
I'd recommend getting into a Corporation, or maybe find some people with voice chat that you can play DUST with on a regular basis.
I know that when I play, my mic is always set to the Corp. channel or in my own squad when I'm running with corp mates, and I imagine that's how it is for most people. |

Do you join battles yourself or do you join squads and then go into battle as a squad?
If the former then there's a very good chance that you are the only person on comms.
If you haven't found it yet, join channel "LFSquad" and squad up with people before going into battle. Many/most squads formed there will be using voice comms.
Or, has been suggested, join a corp. I'd obviously recommend Zion TCD, but there are lots of options.

I'd also suggest you double-check the options menu, make sure that voice chat is turned on (it defaults to "off") and if you're not using Push to Talk, turn it off (it defaults to "on").
Both of these are the wrong defaults for the game to be using, and should be reversed.
And if you've done that, do it again unless you've re-checked more than once since hooking up the new mic. Also, as others have mentioned, join games where you KNOW there are people on mic. And switch between squad and team chat to see if anyone's talking on the other channel instead of the one you're in. |
