OOOOOOOOOOOR they should have a universal redline that everyone shares (no more sniper safe haven), and if your team happens to wtflollipoppwn the other team, they can then turn their attention to shooting at the MCC.
Granted only rail weapons are the only things that can hit it, but it can be hit none the less.... At least they were able to in previous betas. AND you got +50pts for "MCC Damage". Haven't checked recently.... Also I think if you shot at an MCC from start of a match till the end of a match, most you could do is like... 1 - 5 ticks worth of damage to the MCC.... again, an old mechanic that may not still be there. BUT if it is, than my suggestion just needs a universally shared redline.
OH AND, the entire team gets assists for killing all the mercs left hiding in the bay area of the MCC [insert maniacal laughter here]. Cowards should be charged isk for their cowardice.
None of this retreat business! COME ON NOW... If you really want a team off your planet/map/skirmish game, you should have the option to REALLY push them off imo.
Also... These MCCs don't look like they can move too fast.... you are fighting with immortal soldiers--would a slow cumbersome retreat REALLY be in the back of your mind when you have FREE gear to utilize? An obvious downside to this would be that your ego may take a hurting cause your KD will be atrocious.... meh
And realistically, these redline **** matches that ensue now do not happen that often... Only a select few squads from a few corps get lucky enough to have at least a few half minded blueberries to help facilitate this redline sex-ing fest...
A big reason it becomes such a slaughter is because these redline's serve as a bottleneck themselves. The entire team is waiting for you in a finite amount of open transversable (if its a word...?) terrain which reduces the amount of "holes" you can sneak through with a lav or on foot to get to another node. A larger redline will allow people to scatter more effectively and won't bottleneck the slaughter.
