You can get to a location quicker as well as have less of a signature for your enemies to locate. There were many times I've gone behind enemy lines unnoticed, dropped an uplink, and stealthed to an objective and ninja-capped it. Doing just that is a extremely large help for your team as it distracts the enemy and gives your team a forward operating base to work from.
Many people, I think, don't realize the utility the logistics dropsuit can bring to the field. While it may not be for everyone, it can be a force multiplier by supplying ammo, repairing, and reviving. If I can repair my team with my repair tool then that means they can use that low slot for something more useful. If I can give them ammo then they can use that one equipment slot used for nanohives for an injector in case I happen to go down.
While I don't want to sound snobby or anything but I'd like to think that I'm a pretty deadly shooter. A combat medic in a true sense of form I suppose? The only thing I wish for is that people would be selfless and carry nano injectors. Times that i've been down there have been many blue dots near me yet none of them had an injector. Ah well.
I'm about 30 days noob. Never played in an FPS or MMOs before. I was seeing so much spawn camping, I tried to devise a way around it. I stumbled into what you are talking about. I didn't want to go public with it because it has been amazingly effective for team wins (believing it's my influence...?). I actually found myself on the top of leader boards last weekend. You hit it about the scout and uplink fit. I usually make the first spawn in with scout, and expect to get killed early. However, if I can achieve my goals (keeping them secret), then I can sometimes hack their supply depot or go to my own and re-fit as a logi and continue on without dying as a poorly armed scout. My K/D is usually something like 0/5, but I've been really amassing points. Also, the stamina thing you mentioned. I swear there is some kind of flying mode. This weekend, I was sprinting and all of a sudden my character was skimming along without influence of terrain, as if my feet were above the ground and I was just flying like Peter Pan. Is that related to me adding the stamina biotic thingy?
