I just played a game as a logistics using my repair tool, and got practically NO war points... I honestly thing logistics deserves a bit of a reward, Even if its related to the amount of armor repaired or caps out to 50points per person healed, which would equate it to a heal. JUST SOMETHING! :D PLEASE!
*Could the repair tool not atleast boost the repair rate of the self armor repair passive healing? so not heal like it used to but just give a bit of a boost to the self heal. |

We really need a FAQ
Repair tool gives zero war points right now as a quick hack to stop people exploiting it (crash your LAV, repair it, repeat). This is not "working as intended" and we'll be back to getting rewards for reps as soon as the devs have a better fix for the exploiting. |

yaaay :D
So if you see my recommendation, if you put a cap limit on the repair, for a maximum amount equal to a kill of that particular unit. This can reduce the amount of exploitation.
So if i took a buggy and crashed it and rep'd it i could only crash it and rep it enough to get +60 points, and then any further reping would give no more points on that vehicle, but then i suppose people will be calling in 20 buggies and crashing them all and repping them xD |

Yup, I totally tested that theory and proves it right. Also Theres not gonna be a fix for it, so I doubt there gonna bring it back, if people dont want to use it than thats T.S. Adapt or Die, dont use the repair tool and no one on your team should be COMPLAINING that you all lose |

huray for another item that will never see the light of day.
i should put that in the training room when the game comes out. never pump any points in remote repair, the risk isn't worth the reward it's a useless item that should never be used by anyone. pack a res needle instead you at least will be getting something for it. |

Don't squad leaders get some sort of commission on squad kills or something? Perhaps reppers could get something similar. You don't get direct points for the repairs, but you get some percentage of the vehicle or infantry's WP based on how much armor or shield HP you contributed to keeping that unit in action. So you can't just wreck your vehicle and repair it...because the vehicle hasn't earned you any WP for which you can earn a percentage. But you _could_ use the vehicle to earn yourself some WP, then retreat, repair it, go earn some more WP...or even set up a motor pool of some sort...call in vehicles, let team mates take them out, bang them up, bring 'em back and swap for a fresh one. Meanwhile, you repair that one for another team mate to rush back and rapidly swap out. (If the pool of vehicles remains in play, this also means you reduce the time waiting for dropships to deliver vehicles.
That could allow a number of styles of play for logistics...and for commanders to have more options for how to plan logistics for their ops.

If the repair tool was the only piece of equipment that I could carry then I would agree with you but it's not. I repair the heavies and the assault guys when I can. In return my team does better. I manage to still do well enough with my other duties to earn the war points that I need. I seriously doubt CCP will leave us without repair war points forever.

i'm sure they will fix it as well. but with current affairs i'm not so sure anymore. if they fix it they will probably over do it. |

I don't see why it doesn't count as a kill assist.
That would certainly pad my triage buddy's pockets. |

ok OP and the others complaining about the WP getting removed from repair tools. During the last build there were groups of people that would "Farm" SP using the repair tool. As was said by others the main way they did this was to sit in the red zone and repair a LAV that they bashed into a wall. As a result CCP did a "Quick and Dirty" fix on the Repair tool that made it give 0 WP for repairs. This is intended as a temporary fix untill they can find a way to prevent farming. This farming also resulted in the extremly unpopular weekly SP Cap.
In time the repair tool will give WP again, after the farming problem is fixed. Thank you for your time, Kay High |

They mentioned something along these lines way way back. It'd fix boosters, redzone snipers, and redzone vehicles. |
