I believe utter shock was my first response to this god awful event. I am all for increasing the baseline ISK rewards, but making vehicles (alone) cheaper is just plain idiotic.

Do you even listen to your community, there are countless threads about how OP missile turrets have become, yet you're making the things that equip them much cheaper. Your basically asking for people to abuse a broken game mechanic... sounds fun o_O.

Furthermore, Why would you not lower the price of the weapons that kill vehicles. With this new event it is even more cost effective to run a tank then Infantry...CHEERS! The one enjoyment of this game, as a infantry player, was that when you saw Sagris blow up, you thought hahahahah "take that one to the bank". However, it would seem that CCP has taken even that enjoyment from me.

Lastly, CCP WHY DO YOU HATE INFANTRY SO MUCH? Why would you not make Dropsuits also cheaper?My most expensive suit cost me 275 000 isk per death. That is like half a tank. However unlike a tank, my suit is hurt by everything: small arm fire, sniper rifles, grenades, precision strikes, Rail guns, missile turrets, blasters, and FORGE GUNS. I guess it was my mistake for skilling up into infantry this build , and not vehicles... My bad :S . My suit might be 1/4 of a tank, but I can guarantee it not worth its weight in isk when compared to a tank.

How to fix the problem?

1.Fix the maps and the missile turrets

2. Scrap the whole event

3. Make AV and drop-suits 50%

CCP Iam tired of you not guys not thinking things through. You refuse to fix missile turrets, yet you decide to make the things that use them cheaper. This beyond idiotic, and is showing how much you listen to you your Community .

You get more ISK in rewards for killing vehicles. Seems like that's what is supposed to be going on at least. And they're also increasing rewards in general so it looks like they're trying to get lots more AV players in the field. People complain about the vehicle spam and yet in a lot of matches I'm the only forge gunner out there. The gear is too expensive and dying is too easy for people to do it. There's a couple threads on how forge guns just aren't worth it because they're too expensive when you die while at the same time you die constantly because there's not enough forge gunners.

275k is not half a tank it's a quarter of a cheap tank

first of all half price tanks means only assuming the hull of the vehicle. which means 100k for a gunnlogi and 600k for a sagaris with no modules. Atleast thts wat i read. no vehicle will have tht price tag. but rly this is a good way to test it. btw vehicles are not op. Missiles are. thts why shield beats all. hope this helpped. :)

1. ISK price drop on vehicles
2. Everyone rushes out and buys dropships & tanks
3. New build comes out with massive nerfs for dropships & tanks
4. People start screaming about the nerf, then realise they only paid half price
5. Players start throwing their half price vehicles into games with reckless abandon
6. Players learn how to make the nerfed vehicles playable after all
7. Smiles all round

You guys are whining about tanks when it's way too easy to take them out unless their T1-2, and even then T1's are way too easy as is. What I think is that there should be a nefrf on everything, because it's too easy to kill right now.....

When did I ever mention TANKs being OP. I clearly said the missiles are OP. What was your point even.

First, unless the half off sale includes vehicle modules it isn't much of a sale. My Mryon fit is over 700k ISK and the hull is 200k ISK. That's a nice discount, but not enough to dramatically affect my purchasing power. It's like advertising a buy three get one half off sale. Not nearly as exciting as the "HALF OFF SALE!!!" headline.

Second, CCP never gives us anything like this without a plan to take it all away. I expect they want to entice new tankers and dropship pilots for the next build and the promised V/AV changes. Most likely they expect pilots and drivers to lose a lot of material and they want to see a lot of action to get good numbers.

Clearly you people have never actually tried to fit a tank, so don't complain till you have. Half off my gunnlogi saves me 100k isk. The half off helps sagaris drivers somewhat, but the tank cost is all in modules. i have i 1 mil isk missile gunnlogi i use 5% of the time, onlyy 200k of that isk comes from the vehicle itself. My railgun tank i use 95% of the time that costs 750K isk, half off just saves me 100K isk. Not nearly as much as any of you make it out to be.
