I've had it with dropships in every single match. Every single one. They never go down and the gunners all go 30/1 or better every time.
Why is that? Is it because dropships are OP? Is it because the pilots are all uber l33t triple OG? Global warming? El Ni+Ļo? No, that's not it...It must be their unparallelled mastery of aerial combat maneuvers, right? RIGHT?!?
Maneuvers? What maneuvers? They're like Han Solo evading fire from an Imperial Star Destroyer by moving slightly to the left. A circle is not a maneuver. That's what you do when you are untouchable.
The reason they are untouchable is obvious. I see nothing but little dainty rockets gracefully flying in formation behind them before finally pirouetting right in to the side of a building. I see very few accelerated balls of superheated deathfire. Where are the other forge gunners?
I'm usually the only one which tends to make me a somewhat conspicuous target. Forge Guns are the tool for the job. Fighting dropships with swarms is like trying change a flat tire with a wallaby.
To the other forgers out there: Send me a message, add me as a contact, smoke signals, pajamagram me I don't care. I'll look for you in a game. You're probably like me and a lot of the time say screw it and just run around with a militia fit assault or just leave because honestly screw that crap. Some more folks need to put on their big people pants and train even just a little bit into forges (oh wait, no...there's the SP cap. Good call CCP). We gotta team up on these stupid kittens. |

This was true for a while but as people get the SP for better fits it becomes extremely difficult if not impossible to to solo kill one of them so long as the pilot and gunners are decent. The problem is that once ironside gunnlogi's, LAV's that you couldn't OHK, and these hit and run dropships started showing up it suddenly got real hard to blow stuff up. Most if the people using forge's with garbage fits got tired of dying and didn't want to invest any more in to it. Then the people that were in between ended up all alone and they couldn't solo kill anything anymore and they got sick of dying so they quit. Now that brings us to where were are now. There's a dropship in the air every single match almost, frequently two of them. And yet I'll still be the only forge gunner out there. |

If you go back to the first page at the top you'll see my name. Next to it you'll see some words that when read together make sentences. Read those sentences and you'll understand why you're wrong.
EDIT:Ooops, forgot to get around to actually adding something to the conversation. Anybody using the assault forge? Almost never see those even though they are beastly in the right hands. |
