I just thought of something: EVE skill training is cool, because you don't have to play to get sp, plus you will be training skills even when your offline, and Dust, you get lots of sp when you do battles. SO I thought to myself: how about we have both? I'm not talking about how it is now, where you get sp while offline, and then when you play battles, and then "spend" them on skills; that seems to take forever. What I man is that you would have a queue that you put skills in. Your passive would feed the top skill untill it hits the next level, then it will be taken out of the queue (like in eve). Also, if you do battles, those skill points will feed into your top skill. If there is no skill in training, the skill points will build up untill you use them. This will make it eaiser to pick the skills you want, and train them untill you have them, especially the higher sp skills.
EDIT: This is totally optional; you can use this way, or regular skilling as is right now |

Of course, I like to be given the option to disable this feature if it's ever implemented.
if the person wants the regular way, then yea sure, but I don't see why you would, other than doingmultiple skills at once, which is my (and most likely other people) problems with the system taht is now |

Garrett Blacknova wrote:As long as it's optional - which the OP seems to be saying - I'm in favour. If you have no queued skill, the SPs just build up like they do now, right? So you can ignore this addition if you so choose? As long as that's the case, +1 from me.
No what I was saying is that if you had no skill in the Queue, then you didn't use up your skill points, but this could be totally optional way of skilling up; you could use the way now, but you could also use this way. |

What benefit is there in having them placed automatically? Is going into your skills sub-menu after a battle really so demanding? When it comes to corp battles in the future in null sec where time is of the essence, then yeah it would be really demanding. Eve players have requested CCP to eliminate the docking timer (Scotty got fired, sorry) because they are often in a hurry to refit and get back into battle once they died in the battlefield. They hardly have any time to look into their character sheet when time is critical in null-sec. I won't be surprised if we start seeing mercs having to hurry up like they are late to a job interview.

Want ccp to aim your guns for you too like it does in EvE.
As an EvE nerd I would jsut like to say stop trying to ruin Dust with "EvE does it this way"
1: I'm not being lazy, I just want a organized wayof doing skills
2: ANYONE WHO TRIES TO AIM MY GUN WILL DIE
3: I'm not trying to ruin it. EVE hasgood ideas, and since this really is EVE, it makes sense to modify things and carry it over to Dust.
Your points are invalid. I win |
