As it stands I've played about a days worth of dust and i'd like to list a few points of interest in which i think need to changed, be tinkered with or done away all together. The following isnt in any apparent order.
1. The ability to train skills in battle. I wanted to upgrade so that i could use a gun or new setup.
2. KBM I've noticed far less Y-axis sensitivity than X-axis on the mouse. The adjustments seem to do nothing as well. Why isn't there an X/Y adjustment on the mouse? a. When zoomed in with the mouse I noticed that the aim doesn't move as much as it would with a controller like its more dialed in, great for sniping not for mid range.
3. Aiming system doesn't feel smooth. I need finer adjustments in options.
4. If you select prerequisites from the skill page have it drop you in the prerequisites tab
5. Have the options under skills>all skills to have tabbed search to make it more manageable.
6. Very laggy in all. I lagged in the officers room for christ sake and I've already died from lag spike.
7. When i start in a new map it doesn't always center over the current battlefield.
8. I didn't receive Isk or XP for a full battle
9. The maps got huge. It takes a long time to get to the battle to die quickly and have to run back. Mid range weapons don't work because the maps are so big. Shrink them down i would say about 15-25 percent and see if it doesn't increase game play value
10. Ability to slide down ladders or jump off the ladder. Im putting this in as required. If you start getting shot consider yourself dead a. Allow players to pass through one another on ladders. I had to go all the way back down because i couldn't go up so the other guy could get off.
11. It is so difficult to drive a LAV it makes my head spin... literally. Spin outs happen without any warning at all it seems.
Things i dislike The ship itself doesn't explode? Whats that flying piece of debris that does? Are they ejecting the core? I got put into an ending game. I didn't even get to spawn. Long Loading times
Things that i love I love the new hit detection of trucks into players very satisfying to hear the "bump" under my tires >:) OH god those laser rifles, Love Em' The new particle effects on the blasters and missiles = awesome It seems much easier to throw a grenade accurately now TY The sound verification on ordering vehicles The large red dot to notify me of when i need to refit The full revolving 3d view of my character when in fitting
Suggestions I regularly check my Isk values. When i'm in my officer room could i have it displayed in a corner of the screen so i just know how much i have
Loose the pin point aiming on the blasters atleast for the small ones. I cant hit a guy 20 ft away, standing still, while i'm rolling around him in a truck at all.
What happend to sitting down in my quarters. My LEGS are tired damnit!
I want my turrets and drones! :)

1. So you want EVE-style training where you set a list of skills to train, one after another? Although that would make more sense in DUST, it's simpler for an already complex game to "buy" skills like we do now. And if i'm not mistaken, aren't we able to use the full NeoCom (including skills) in battle anyway?
2. Can't comment - don't have a USB keyboard.
3. Definitely agree. It's rather difficult to aim the gun, especially when zoomed in at medium range. That's exactly what this kind of beta is for.
4. Not quite sure what you're saying here.
5. Basically you want the different skilltrees to be separated into tabs instead of categorized lists? That would make it easier!
6. Yep, lag is always an issue. However, it's nothing compared to the build I started during - hard freezes every 3rd match. BTW, what's your network bandwith?
7. I remember getting that a couple times before, where the overhead view was well into the redzone. Seems more like a glitch, as it usually centers over the main (MCC) spawn.
8. Haven't had that before, but betas always have nasty bugs somewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if that was just one messed-up battle. Let us know if this one happens again!
9. And that's why vehicles exist in this game. The only reason we aren't rolling columns of tanks+dropships is that we aren't being supported by EVE Online corporations yet. Just wait until we get fighter jets (Soon-TM)!
10. Ladder improvements? Sounds like a plan.
11. Vehicle controls are a little screwy, takes some getting used to. Use a light touch when turning, don't jam the stick unless you absolutely have to. |

Hit the "Jump" button to jump off of ladders (do not hit the interact button). This confused me for quite a while as it seemed natural to hit the same button to release my hold on the ladder as to grab the ladder.
In any event jumping from ladders is already fully functional in game. :)
As to maps, the big ones are good, don't shrink 'em, but do add more infantry friendly maps (as is already planned by CCP). Diversity of play experience > homogenous (aka repetitive) play experience.
Completely agree regarding being dropped into matches already in progress (and of course about the lag).
Just a few of my own impressions,
Cheers :) Cross

You don't get any skillpoints till the end of the match anyway, so being able to apply them in the middle of a fight doesn't make any sense.
It does annoy me that I can't buy items to restock a fitting mid-match (Last I tried anyway) but then I guess it adds to the idea that you need to plan ahead for these things. |

You can do that, but you have to be dead |

No, no, and no. The maps will be getting bigger, not smaller. The player count will also be getting bigger. This game will be leaning more towards PS2 than COD in that respect. Bigger battles will make for more interesting strategies, and generally more fun games IMHO. |
