Look you, that post was borderline unintelligible. And deserves to be made fun of. Also, if you have ever had a job, you know that nobody, and I mean nobody, likes to deal with the loud, privileged, obnoxious customer. That sort of "your gonna fail unless you do wat i sayGǪ" tantrum doesn't do anyone any good. And we are not even customers. We are supposed to be working with CCP to make the game better. No one likes to deal with a co-worker that throws hissy fits.
My longest running problem with connecting to DUST servers was due to sandy. Couldn't get any internet for about 2 weeks. Still don't have heat or hot water. There are worse things than problems with this beta. |

I come back to the forums after a while away and it is really disappointing to have to read this gibberish.
Your point is so obvious that it doesn't need a forum post or you to try to explain it to the company making this game. If they feel like going forward with obvious bugs then so be it. If you really felt the need to point it out then you could have chosen a much better way to go about trying to communicate your concerns.
My point is also that it is sort of funny that you are wailing about CCP not listening when no one, and I repeat no one wants to listen to crap like the OP no matter how valid the underlying so called "sincerity" even though the whole "I really am not trolling" disclaimer sort of gives the lie to your so called sincerityGǪ I am just some random beta tester, but if I face palm and say to myself, "Oh great, not this bs again." then imagine how fatigued someone who has the job of reading these forums daily must feel.
It is not your baby. It is just really annoying to read all of these posts that come off as if CCP killed the family dog. It is just a game and there are others out there to play and complain about. |

So one beta tester ranting about the dev's is a noble sort of whistle blower and one beta tester calling bs on that rant is a troll? Not everything that people write is trolling. Making fun of someone's weird, idiosyncratic spelling is not trolling. So, quickgloves, if you want to invent your own language that is fine, but people are gonna react, and it is really ridiculous to then get all huffy and get up in their faces on an internet forum if they make fun of your made up words.
Now, to the aside quoted above. Granted, the whole buying AUR with real money for the beta is a little shady especially since the beta has been drawn out for what seems like forever. Though, if that is what it takes to create a better game experience when DUST 514 goes live then the Beta should take as long as it needs to. But you missed the entire point of what I was saying there. We are more like fellow employees, maybe even stockholders, whatever you want. We are here to collaborate with CCP to help make the game better.
But we are not customers. We are here to help make the product, not just consume it and whine about it. And the point is that no one wants to work with or listen to someone who is throwing a tantrum. No one really likes working with a diva.
FInally, don't call me an idiot. I may be a fairly bad to average older more or less casual gamer and not some special FPS super pro, but there are are quite a few gamers out there in my demographic. And we usually have disposable income. So what I type in these forums is just as valid as what the FPS elite has to say. But if you can't help yourself, and you want to start name calling quote me directly and do so to my face. As it were. And not in a trollish aside.
For the record, I do not agree with everything you Tony Calif have to type here but you seem like a pretty solid dude. Also, quickgloves does as well. Maybe a little rowdy. But man, the complaining here just gets out of hand. There are ways and ways to go about it. Howling like a prophet of doom is, in my opinion, not the way. |
