I've been a beta testers a few time's now and I always ask the same question. Will there be an off-line mode for practice? Remember when PSN was hacked and the server was off-line for week's it would have been nice if we could just went on our game's and got a little practice done. |

Very, very unlikely. This is an MMO, after all. There will be training (and perhaps even solo training), but it would be very difficult for them to include some kind of offline mode, as a lot of information exists off our PS3s right now, and will likely always exist off of it.
While I like the idea of some 'lite' version of DUST for offline time-killing/training, it's unlikely, and would require a lot of effort and time from the developers that could be spent elsewhere. |

Considering that all of your data is stored in CCP's servers in London, it may not work. And if bonuses are ever given, then the server will have to sync up with the client installed in your PS3 just for gathering what you did offline and that's another thing to strain the server when already there are tens of thousands of players in the same server waging wars in null-sec, scamming fools in Jita, ganking Hulks and Mackinaws in high-sec, running missions, taking control of faction space, millions of market transactions occurring every day, etc. And that's just on normal days. Don't get me started on what happened during peak times. |

Maken, I take offense to your "scam fools in Jita" remark. I don't do it in Jita, I do it in Rens, and they deserve it if they can't read a contract :p |

+1 for a training mode where we can try out different fits, learn to drive/fly, tweak our controls, etc. It doesn't have to have much to it. |
