ok so I've been posting here in the forums about the mouse sensitivity bug/problem since codex launch.
Basically if you had no clue, the Sensitivity slider has not effect 0 through 100 and for my it''s jittery and Very fast as it is. - Other people have also said "y axis sensitivity is far lower than x axis"
right now I use a 10 dollar mouse ( Logitech M100 / Optical ) since I am STILL determined to play properly Right Now.. I'm willing to upgrade from this cheap mouse to something better.
Please give me recommendations for a mouse- My requirements: - Simple mouse (mouse 1, 2 and wheel / button) - No drivers required - and the important ' On the go ' switches.
I'm not Exactly sure what DPI is or polling rate is, but I think one has something to do with Sensitivity.
The mouse that i found which is best suited for my needs and Dust 514 is the " Razer Abyssus " - " Hardware Toggles for DPI and Polling Rate Adapt to your game instantly with 2 toggle switches for 450/1800/3500dpi and 125/1000Hz polling rate adjustments without the need for any software drivers. "
It has actual manual switches on the back. I'm not sure what " infrared sensor " is.
so.. Recommendations please, and if you want to explain the whole DPI and polling rate that would be nice too.

on a whim i bought that goofy RAT mouse. it has everything you're looking for, but its a little uncomfortable and pricy. i wouldn't go with razer mice, they have goofy driver/hardware problems and their new line of mice require an internet connection to work (because of reasons).
as a rule of thumb, don't pay more than 50 bucks for a mouse, after that they just get gimmicky. |

yeah i bought the RAT 7, its a decent mouse, its just that the red aiming button and the 2 thumb buttons are really uncomfortable. aside from that its fairly decent (as it ******* should be for 100 bucks). |

Ok, I'm reading into these R.A.T. Mice now.. They look Badass... A little much / Complicated compared to my previous mice, which have mostly been optical 3 button mice.
These look crazy lol - I think you got the RAT 7 - INFECTION.. right? I'm on their site now.
I think i can link this, I hope..

I am using SteelSeries Diablo III Edition (same as Xai) and its amazing. DPI adjust on go (for snipers, zooms etc) Programmable buttons (you can bind PS3 keys on mouse) Good durability, and old-school feel, simple design. Drivers requires only once, for programming, and than it saves up in internal memory. Diablo III Mouse Xai |

For me I had to do the Xim Edge, which as basic interface to the PS3/Xbox that allows me to use any of my gaming mice plus my N52TE.
It allows me a few options that you don't normally get with out it, separate speeds for ADS and hip fire, can adjust either of those on the fly. With the way Dust and mice work, I had to change the speed to 170.00 on hip and 150 on ADS. Used the MAG setup to start then tweaked it to add my new buttons for the N52Te and the G5 mouse with side buttons. But after about an hour of playing and adjustments its really easy now. |

Here you go! That might be a decent resource for you, and I found that solution to work well for me. I have the Logitech G700, its a $70 mouse I believe, but it is absolutely worth the price. Any mouse with customizable DPI settings will work with that solution, just might require different software for DPI settings.
The DPI means Distance Per Inch, basically how many pixels the pointer will move per inch that you move the mouse. So if you have your X and Y DPI set to 1000, the pointer will move 1000 pixels for every 1 inch you move your mouse on both the X and Y axis. If however you have your X DPI set to 1000 and your Y DPI set to 2000, the pointer will move 1000 pixels for every 1 inch on the X axis, and 2000 pixels for every 1 inch on the Y axis.
The Polling Rate is just how many times per second your mouse communicates it's location to your computer, so the higher the Polling Rate, the smoother your mouse movement will be. It has no effect on the sensitivity of your mouse, aside from being jittery vs being more smooth. A higher polling rate requires more power, so if your mouse is wireless, you'll need to charge/change the batteries more often.
Hope I helped!
