Feedback/Suggestions - Weekly Updates on the DUST 514 Beta
A lot of forum user donGÇÖt really know that this section exists and so they go round and round thinking CCP is not listening to some of their suggestion and problems. But truth be told they are.
Here are a few things in the works for next build and future releases to be excited about
[FEATURE REQUEST]
Squad advertising Update: This is something the dev team is planning to implement in future updates.
Corp armory Update: This is on the list of things to do in future updates.
[REQUEST]
Scan Assists - more incentives for its usage Update: The dev team will be working on adding new features for the scanner in future updates such as adding more rewards for various gameplay.
Quick draw skill Update: The dev team will put this into a list of features to be added in future updates.
Tournament - Brackets Update: We will be adding more variety to the way the teams are paired up in future tournaments.
GÇ£Infantry-onlyGÇ¥ (infantry-friendly) maps Update: We have a few maps that are pro-infantry and will be doing internal testing before deploying them during the beta
[FEEDBACK/ISSUE]
Dropships and Missiles imbalance Update: A number of tweaks and improvements to missiles have been made and are planned for deployment in the next beta update/hotfixes. Some of the changes include improvements to missile tracking and speed stats, more tuning for the small and large missile turrets. Countermeasures are also planned for future updates.
Tournament - Brackets Update: We will be adding more variety to the way the teams are paired up in future tournaments.
Ambush spawn mechanic Update: The dev team will take another pass at trouble shooting the spawn mechanic in ambush mode
[SUGGESTION]
Supply Depot Vehicle Module Update: The Game Design team will discuss the possibility of implementing this in the future.
Award WP for Mobile CRU use in Vehicles - This feature is being planned
Weapon customization: Subsystem, Rigging, Slots, or Add-ons - The design for this is ready, but it is a very large task to implement it in-game. Expect this at a later date.

I would be excited to hear of a skirmish mode that doesnt feature freezes, disconnects and massive frame rate drops. Or a batle finder system that doesnt force you to play musical squad leaders because of invalid label error. |

The next build is mostly a stability/polish release. They are mostly focussing on fixing what is in the beta already.
NO SP RESET NEXT BUILD
Swarm launcher explosive impulse: This is being massively reduced. (The way the swarms can shove a dropship or LAV) 'Broadside' Heavy machine gun PG/CPU being properly set to prototype level Militia profile dampner: Being corrected to highslot to match other modules of its kind Nova knives: Being adjusted to be more ~awesome~ and less ~awkward~ Aiming mechanics : The mysterious disappearance of kick/recoil has been investigated and we should see guns having kick as they were intended. Ground friction: The weird ways you get caught on terrain have been looked into and (should be) fixed.
There is more, but I am heavily medicated and this is as much as I'm willing to dig through my notes. Will update again later. |

There is also a couple sweet changes I know about I will post when i am not typing on a phone tha t is an absolute chore.

I have heard this as well and I'm hoping for some positive improvements. I like that CCP has acknowledged that its important to them to fix what they have before moving forward with more content and features. |

Thats a bad idea, a cargohold is alot easier tbh and if its a mod to put on the tank it means less tank/resistance in general and will shaft either the shield or armor tank because it has to go high or low slot
If its an installtion it will get popped and thus useless
Cargohold is the way forward |

Cargohold is the way forward I would love to blow up your precious supply depot, just as tankers blow up ours so that we can't switch to AV.
But yeah, I don't think it should be an installation either. |

My only suggestion would be regarding the missile improvement. I'm assuming they are talking about the swarms since when they mention speed and tracking.
When they improve the speed and tracking, this will FINALLY make the swarms effective against dropships. Problem is, they need to implement the dropship's countermeasures against the swarms at the same time, NOT AT A FUTURE DATE. Otherwise, people will be bit ching about how "dropships are now useless", etc etc.
CCP, when you fix the swarms, and make them a viable AV against the dropship, MAKE SURE YOU IMPLEMENT THE COUNTERMEASURES AGAINST THEM AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly the same mistake was made on both weapons.
Is that being fixed too, or just the HMG? |
