Don't kill yourselves, just rough ballpark is good enough.
Trying to get a handle on what taking a planet will cost, what kind of ISK layout will our EVE employers be looking at, what would have to be the value of minerals/industry/etc on a planet to make that kind of layout worthwhile?
Not to mention any losses incurred by orbital support ships lost, etc. |

I don't want to rain on your parade, not to mention I am also curious about how much money has been lost so far, but I don't think that the information your asking for would be relevent until a tournement that features MCC, Medium Air Vehicles, Heavy Air Vehicles, and Payable Instalations come into play.
Not to mention I don't think either Corp. would want to publicly announce how much they've lost.
Keep the faith. |

Technically we didn't lose money, we earned money based on the prize pay outs.
I couldnt give you a rough a number. I can say most of the money went to vehicles. Then was forge gunners if they didn't have enough isk. Mainly vehicles were the ones I was giving corp funds too.
I would say a contract would have to be worth wild and be at least 100mil isk if they really wanted the district against a good opponent. (accounting for new in game features) |

Well, that's something, at least. Thanks for the feedback. To me the real question here is going to be: What resources will be made availiable on the planets and what are their values?
It's a separate question and valuation from contracts that are meant to affect sov mechanics. Really Thinking about it from a resouce point of view right now. |

I think this would be good to ask ALL the semi-finalists. Not just the top two. And not just the CEOs, who can only account for what was REIMBURSED, and not necessarily the total amount that was spent
How much ISK worth of gear got trashed? It wouldn't even be POSSIBLE to imagine that total destruction value being less than the total prize payout. The top 2 probably got enough to cover their costs, and it's possible someone else may have achieved the same, but I'm pretty sure most would have run the tourney at a loss. |

Yea but how often will we be taking planets over for EVE? In a day? In a week? In a month? thread creates some interesting questions for me. |

What you say is absolutely true, Garrett, i picked the finals because it was 4 matches with the same opponents both with coherent, consistent vehicle/infantry strategies. I'm sure most troopers spent their own isk/aur but Omni's feedback lets us put a lower bound on the valuation. |

I really dont know what CCP are up too. The numbers just dont add up when you consider the value of a planet so that can only mean somthing is missing we dont yet know about.
SI will end up positive over the whole toruny. So we spent under 100 mil. Hope that helps.
Worth mentioning the final cost more than everything else put together. |

Worth mentioning the final cost more than everything else put together. Now think what will happen when you're factoring in the cost of a single MCC being taken out.
Or worse, loss of a War Barge.
By the time planets become a resource to be profited from, we're going to NEED them. |

In EVE, one planet located in nullsec/wormhole net around 80-100m profit from resources (single planet, for single person), that requires daily actions (10-15mins a day). So i doubt that rewards for taking over planet for resources would net much ISK. While in nullsec and 35% sov. dedicated to planet control things might be better with rewards, each system is around 3-5-8 planets, taking over a system for some nullsec alliance would require a ton of work and isk for a dust corp. Also, consider that taking over a solar system right now takes atleast 8 hours, so it should be possible to get 7 planets x 3-4 districts in that time. This... is new DUST CTA :) Soon you'l know how to get up by alarm clock at 5 o'clock on monday :) |

Wow, makes my 2 million look like chump change xD
May I ask a question? I just want to know how much coordination goes into a corp battle? Do you guys need a few days to prepare?

Thanks for the feedback, Sha Kharn. I'm with you - something is missing in the equation. That's why i'm asking these questions. For my money, i think that something is gonna be hella interesting. |
