Well i think every 1 wants to know what happend on both sides and what where the key factors to actually win a corperation match. Well the imperfects had a sagaris with a railgun and 2 dropships supporting the ground units, while we had the first two matches missile tanks combined with dropships. Now due to the public opinion missile tanks would dominate i tell you they dont do at such a large scale battle. The thing is railguns are extreme effective at taking out other vehicles. The imperfects had basically this battleplan: infantry/dropships are attacking B and the objective the furthest away from their main spawn area and trying to engage other dropships. In the mean time their railgun tank gets in position to take down other dropships/tanks. When they accomplished that their AV infantry gets into position to support their railgun tank against incoming dropships who might could flank him and these guys dont use swarm launchers. As we tried to make a push with dropships and got some infantry at a objective they allmost instantly getting pinned down from enemy dropships.
basically they had the exact same gameplan as we had the only difference was that their tank was very good specced into large railguns. Which was even capable in shoting down my dropship that had over 4400HP on the shields in just 1 single hit. The first match we pushed the imperfects very hard and they only won by clone depletion, but you have to consider that we had 2 objectives in our hands, 50% on our armor left while the imperfects had only 2 ticks on their armor left over with 1 objective. The second match we got pushed very hard and couldnt do anything cause we didnt adjusted our tactic enough. On the third match we where aible to hold ground and changed our missile tanks for railguns and did much better. We shot plenty off their dropships from the sky but wherent aible to get a second objective cause we didnt had pilots who are capabe in flying dropships (i was in a railgun tank and took out Aldin Kan's sagaris and shot down dropships). Well the team with the better specialisation won and in this case it where the imperfects. Skillwise i would say we are on allmost the same lvl but the team with the better arsenal won. |

no need to hide the tactics anymore cause the tourny is over. And it has a high price to call in vehicle after vehicle. Alot off SI guys have put alot off ISK into the corp wallet to rebalance the strenght off our corperation. And to be honest we wouldnt have come this far without support from the vehicles. Its a mix out off vehicles and infantry both is needed to succeed at this game. If i had to cut it down to 1 word then it would be this: TEAMWORK
Another thing is that i want to thank my CEO for supporting me with enough ISK to keep the vehicles rolling. |

their railgun tank was the counter to our dropships. 1 hit= destroyed. And the dropships simply hammered the infantry after that they proceeded with the infantry to take objectives. They wouldnt had won by just pure infantry game on their side. Every 1 who doesnt deploy vehicles in a serious corp match is a idiot. |

Not to say you guys weren't coordinated, but the 2nd and 3rd game we were in full-on serious mode after that insanely close 1st match. Hell, your missile tanks would one or two shot my armor tanks if a full volley landed, but that didn't stop me from blowing up more tanks than I lost because of having constant, reliable voice comms about where the enemy vehicles were.
The first game was kinda sloppy on direction, but we play very well together as a team. It all came down to coordination and team cohesion. If anything, voice comms won us the tournament. You can only be so good and so well fit, but if you don't have the experience playing together that you can rely on people being in certain locations doing certain things, and trust them to call out the appropriate threats, you're not going to do as well as a team that does.
Sure our missile tanks where good against armor but not against aldin kan in his sagaris railgun tank. He was the main reason why you had controll over the airspace. And with that you had the upper hand. It was just a better strategy to rely on the railgun tank to deal with other vehicles from distance. And to be honest it was a very smart move.

We have a lot of respect for SI and how you played in the finals, but you dark cloud, need to learn how to lose.
Where did i denied our loss? Havent insulted you guys (yet). I even give rep to you for using vehicles at such a advanced lvl. And still you moan about it. Sounds more like a bad winner from my perspective. And i think you are just mad that i gave detailed information about tactics out for free. Well we learned from our defeat what needs to be improved and if theres another tourny prepare for a even harder fight. I would even suspect that you had a rat placed into our corp to sniff out our tactic and adjust it allmost perfectly. |
