I'd like a way to make it so I can hear certain people but they can't hear me. Kind of like a reverse mute. This would make it easier to deal with corp infiltration and allow easier sowing of disinformation. |

Yea but that is kind of a pain and makes it easier for the other person to know you are not talking to them. I know my idea would be challenging to program but it would be a nice feature. Plus it would increase the cattyness of chat; think of all the fun he said she said behind eachothers backs that it could generate. |

I don't see why this is necessary.
But....Let me get this straight:
You're in a squad with players B, C, and D. You want to 'reverse mute' yourself for player C so player C can't hear you but B and D still can?
What happens when players B amd D respond to you?
If your answer is "Well, they'd have him reverse muted too" then the above suggestion of "Talk in another channel" Is entirely valid, and no new mechanic is needed.
As for player C? While you're in your new channel, just tell them on text chat that your mic is bugged/not plugged in.
If you just want to listen to B, C, and D without actually talking to them... just turn on push to talk or use your mic's built-in mute (if applicable) |

If you want to say something about someone in your squad's voice chat without that person hearing, swtich to a private voice channel which you've invited the other players in the squad into.
Switch back to the squad chat right after, talk normally.
I don't see the problem. |

blue dots don't already do this?
Until eve and dust merge, you have nothing to worry about.... besides, that stuff should not be in battles. Talk big picture or assasinations in corp and private chats. there is already a system in place |

ROFL, said the exact same thing to him in corp last night.
lol's aside, why not. All I'd add is a new icon so we know who we have deafened out. |
