CCP is still by far the best at communicating with their gamers.
If you want more immediate feedback or a face to face discussion you can always get on the beta IRC and talk to the devs.
A good portion of the community has started to ignore these forums because of the terrible suggestions and trolling. Those are terrible reason to leave of course, and just makes things worse. |

You call change in timings for tourneys, bad managed tourneys, confusions in updates "by far the best at communicating"? I have been a gamer for over 20 years. I have played the ataris and nintendos. I have gamed on x80s, 286s,386s, 486s and above. I have played every console there is to play and every company that has produced any games. And me tell you this;- CCP is the worst when it comes to communication. Look at the state of the forums. It is pathetic. You have devs over stepping genuine ides/feedbacks and themselves too. Support takes it own sweet time in getting back to you unless its something really serious. The Corp tourneys in the second week were delayed and once started soon. All they posted about it was in the forums. You think everyone is on the forums all the time? Polls is a good idea but CCP never uses it. Popular vote counts not what everyone keeps QQing about. So you are saying I have gamed longer than you... Intelivision and Comadore 64 FTW! lol
Most of your complaints here have little to do with how well they communicate with their gamers. I personally have never gotten this much face time with devs in a game. |

Sentient Archon wrote:IRC is not the voice of the DUST community. This is the voice of the DUST community. CCP should be here. Not playing Sylvester with that tweety bird thingy. I have to disagree very strongly. This forum is mainly for trolls and those who have very little understanding of CCP, EVE, and the direction they want to take DUST 514, and those of us trying to talk sense into those trolls.
The IRC is very much the DUST 514 community. There are differing opinions there, but they are most definitely the people who are most committed to DUST 514.
In case you didn't notice, you can only get into the DUST IRC if you are in this forum already. |

SoTa PoP wrote:Now that Zion is out of the tourny I'll probably stop playing DUST, there's no point anymore, especially if there's going to be a wipe next build, whenever the heck that'll happen. I might of been more inclined to continue playing if I thought CCP needed more opinions, but this build only tweaked and added little, so most of the major issues and bugs have already been brought up, I'm ready for something new, otherwise my dusty RPG's need a little elbow grease. There is actually no wipe planned for the next build. The plan seems to be to wait until the game moves to TQ server for the next wipe.
Also... the tourney kept you here? Why? It was fun, but not that important. |
