Support/Medic as in...?
Repair tool "don't let people die" medic?
Nano Injector "don't let people stay dead" medic?
Nanohive "don't let people run out of ammo" support?
Swarm Launcher "fire support" support?
...
Train into Logistics Dropsuits if you want more than one of the Nanohive/Repair Tool/Injector options in a single fitting. The best alternative is probably a stealth-focused (or shield/speed tanked) Scout Dropsuit so you can get between hot zones as fast as possible. Bring Low Slot Mods for sprint speed or stamina, and
Also, if you're going with a Repair Tool, you need Mechanics to at least level 2 so you can unlock the Repair Systems skill. The higher you buff that, the more effective your Repair Tool will be, and the better the Repair Tools you can equip (but it buffs even the Militia one).
I'd recommend Logistics with Repair/Nanohive if you're more dedicated to the role than your WP earnings, because people frequently rush to bleed out so you don't get a chance to revive them. Nanohives don't reward as much in the way of WP as reviving someone, and at the moment, there's no reward for using a Repair Tool, but preventing someone from dying is currently more reliable (in most cases) than trying to get them back on their feet. Also, people tend to enjoy not dying more than dying and getting back up.
Uplinks are also a good support tool, but in my experience, it's best to dedicate a build to deploying an Uplink, rather than trying to set something up that does Uplinks AND something else. The "Assault - Triage" Starter Fit can, without any relevant skills, be equipped to a 2000-ISK-per-use Uplink build, and you get a Scrambler Pistol, SMG and grenades to fight with after planting your Uplink. you get 2 Uplinks, but can only have one active at a time. If you have 80AUR laying around, you can create the same fit with all BPOs and never have to spend ISK on Uplinks again (unless you want GOOD ones, that is...) |

"Shield/Speed tanked"
I heard that Shields raise your dropsuit scan thingy making you appear on enemy radar easier. Wouldn't be a good idea for stealth. |

first and foremost you should invest in the skills that boost cpu/pg. those are invaluable.
armor reps modules (to keep yourself alive) infantry mechanics (to have high hp) skills related to the support items you use, Hives come in handy for everyone and don't require any additional thought than just tossing one down, and everybody loves having an injector around so use those two - miltia everything else will work just fine until you have spare sp.
get to weaponry V asap, as it boosts all your weapons.
as far as weapons go, I was impressed by a shotgun wielding logi a time or two as you can buy your squad some room to maneuver.
I would be remiss in not suggesting the laser, though. in the right hands it's devastating at range and the squad you are supporting can cover you in close quarters.
A weapon i really want to try out is the mass driver on a logi suit - the mass driver runs out of ammo fast, but that's what hives are for and by the time you need more ammo your team could use some too.

Hence why I said "or" instead of "and" there.
Go for stealth, OR go for shields and speed. Low Slots can be used for Stealth OR speed. High Slots can be used to Shield Tank OR to support the build in other ways. |

logi doesn't need nano hive as everything bar heavy has an equipment slot, so less priority on nano hive.
repair tool so they can heal nanite injector so they can get revived drop uplink if they don't nano hive for heavies
