In order to boost your bases outpost and such. There's no indication that's the case, and besides, most people will not have any kind of base or territory or even belong to a player corp at all. But people who play the game casually would probably enjoy a survival mode PvE type of game, too, so what would be gained by limiting it to only people who own territory? well it would push people to join corps. Factional warfare you don't have to worry about it, there are tons of MPC owned planets to battle over and protect versus rouge drones. In fact I believe the plan is to have all NPC corps already involved in some side of FW. So even if you don't join a player corp you'll have access to Factional warfare. And your PvE only actions will help the FW PvP players. whats wrong with that?
Even if Rogue Drones (not "rouge" which is either a type of makeup or a shade of red) are only present as attackers against controlled systems, how does that force PvPers to get involved? And how does it prevent people from having a pure PvE experience?
Either join a corp as a Drone Hunter and don't fight their PvP battles, or play as a merc and get others to hire you - exclusively take PvE contracts and avoid any PvP battlefields.
But the devs have specifically promoted Rogue Drones as PvE content - both for variety AND for people who don't want to be involved in the PvP side of things. |

crazy space wrote:It doesn't froce them to get involved. But the pve has an effect on the pvp matches. This means corps might employ full time pve players. I'm saying it forces the two communities to interact. This is a good thing imo as long as the pve players don't have to pvp at all.
Let the pve players have an effect on the war as well. Plus maybe some days I won't want to pvp, but still help my faction win.
So pretty much all you were saying is that PvP and PvE players will influence one another, NOT that anyone has to be involved specifically in either or both aspects?
I can agree with that. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who was taking your comments the wrong way. Sorry about that. |

Didn't like it in Mass Effect 3,nor Uncharted 2.I just think there's nothing fun about fighting the computer.
I've played co-op in both of those games, and it was HORRIBLE.
Try Syndicate. It's in major need of support (releasing on the same day as Mass Effect 3, and coming from the same publisher... and EA seem oblivious to why it didn't sell well?), and the single player feels unfinished, but the co-op is awesome. |
