The constant high jacking of expensive friendly vehicles needs to been heavily reduced. To anyone who is not part of the same squad (or corp), the player must be able to meet ALL the requirements of uniquely fitted vehicles in order to take the driver seat, otherwise he/she will be restricted to using small turrets. The same should also apply to hacked vehicles; however, there must be SP/WP rewards for the hack in case the player is unable to drive it.
Upon attempting to get inside a vehicle with no driver and low requirements you will be shown this message on top of the prompt to go inside: "Requirements are not met to drive/pilot the vehicle".
Side note: How is it that someone with no skills for vehicle command is able to drive Top tier tanks? It's like the guy has no driver's license and suddenly has the approval to drive stuff. -_- |

I asked about this once and was told they actually tried it in an internal build before, but it created problems I guess. I'm not sure why, maybe it was resource intensive running checks on everything. Maybe it could be just restricted to the hull type.
Either way, I'd like to see this if they find a way to do it. It just seems weird that someone needs all those skills to be able to build and call the item in, but then some random guy with no vehicle skills at all can just jump in and drive away.
My biggest issue with it working the way it does now is that it only requires a corp to have one real vehicle specialist. You don't need to spend your SP on vehicles if I can just call in 40 tanks for everyone, which creates an unfair benefit if you can just stack your SP in other beneficial areas and still operate top tier vehicles without spending SP on them. |

Imperial tech may as well be Militia gear, for the most part. Skills not required. |

This is a good idea. However if the driver was killed it should become fre for all instead of being locked for anyone. |

Nope
As a driver i have varying mods on my tank and i am willing to bet that the majority do not have the skills to use some of them at least
Take large missiles for example
You need small missile turrets to 4 then large missile turret 1 to use the basic large missile turret
Also lets remember the tank, Vehicle lvl5 and Caldari HAV lvl3 needed for the Sagaris which is at least 1mil SP and majority wont have that tbh
Plus its my tank, are you going to give me the 1mil that it cost after it gets blown up because you cant drive for **** or know how to activate mods? of course not your a useles blue dot
Once i got shot and my squadmate saved my gunlogi at the time but he could barely drive it and activate stuff because he wasnt a tank driver and it was odd for him but even tho he didnt have basically any skills for it he could still move it and activate mods
But really if they dont have the skills to begin with they shouldnt be able to drive it or activate the mods
Again take EVE, you can fly a drake but you can use T2 shield extenders or hardners or even the T1 missiles because you dont have the required skills, now if you get into a fully fitted drake it will let you but the mods you cannot use will be greyed out and offline and you cannot online them because you do not have the correct skills, same with fitting a drake you cannot put on mods that you cannot use and a message will pop up saying train these skill to use this mod |

No need for the agressive tone.
What I ment is that as long as you are alive its your vehicle no matter what. However if you are killed the vehicle could then be operated by anyone with the skills to pilot it.
