well no **** .
if your a new *** then i guest you dont know that this is a beta and is going to suck balls for the next 2 yrs
But but but bad furry how do you know it will take ccp 2 yrs to work out the bugs ?
because it took ccp o most 4 1/4 yrs to make the dam beta and with ccp.s track record on work vs milking you for more money. trust me there in no big hurry to fix anything in eve or dust 514 . its like this....
1. make a game . 2. tell players to HTFU ! 3. milk players for money and fix a bug every 60-90 days 4. ?????? 5. Profit $$$$ 6. repeat steps 1-6 |

I was here in the early days of orbital strikes being implemented. I disappeared for a while to do other things. Like get a new PS3.
I'm back, only been playing for a few days, and I can see MASSIVE improvements over the late stages of the E3 build. It's only been a few months, and they've fixed FAR more than just a few bugs.
They've almost completely redesigned the majority of problem areas in the game, added new features, and improved existing functionality. |

I think we getting to the phase where beta testers that have been around for a while are getting burned out. I think the SP cap and normalized SP gain is a large culprit because folks can't move from testing one thing to the next. |

Halo 4, AC3, Blops 2 and whatever other big games are hitting soon may have something to do with declining player numbers as well. |

Agreed. I can't actually remember how many times I've got lvl 5 assault rifle ops :( Stupid clone keeps forgetting all his skills between builds. |

Bad Furry: Iv been here from june . iv played with lag low player counts and epic fail spawns. used all the weapons and all the tanks and drop ships used all the drop suits. in my point of view i never believed in CCP. i only believed in the eve players that fund the dam thing. if anyone calls the shots weather the game go.s live or die's its them. with out are Real money that we dump on ccps desks every month for are toons and time cards for Isk there would be no Dust 514. its are money that supports this game. and we can say **** off any time we want to.....its been done be for ! |

I have no ideal how low the playerbase IS or ISN'T.
I do know that its a fun game but only for short periods of time- A few matches is about all I can do in a day (sometimes 1) since there does not seem to be "persistence" and something to keep me playing for longer.
I think alot of people are like me and just log in, play a match and log out.
I am not knocking the game (its fun) but with most MMOs I can literally spend hours (if I have the time) playing before logging out and sometimes even lost track of time- In Dust a few matches is about it because it feels repetitive. Fun, but.... |

They need to add a sense of progression that is beyond your character. Some kind of system where battles effect faction standings on a map, solar system, constellation or something without CCP having to get the entire factional thing Eve side sorted from the get go.

Its fun in short bursts - But for anything more than a few matches it gets repetitive. I certainly do not see any contradiction? but... |

I believe we are testing the flow of the game. It still feels a little fast to me. Really though, going from making 30k sp for the first few games down to 1k sp to none is a really crappy feeling. What CCP should do is introduce an SP pool.
Say your weekly active SP is around 300k. For your first week of play you get 30k to 1k sp like in the current system (You never hit below 1k sp). During this first week your play time and schedual is analyzed and on the next week the game you will be rewarded based on the previous weeks gameplay schedule. Each week the game analyzes your habbits and modifies the SP gain. Someone who can only play 5 hours a week will obviously get more SP per match than someone who plays 40 hours a week.
The only thing is that the less you play the less percentage of SP you get from that pool. The drop will be minimal, maybe you lose 10-20% if you don't play for a whole week. If you stick with your schedule you'll see consistant SP ammounts per game. If you play FAR more than your schedule, the SP will drop a bit.
If you can't play for a month, your pool will collect up. Your pool when you start playing will be 300k * 4 * 0.8

If you're not having fun, find a corp or a group of mates, if you want corp ideas see whoever wins the tourney and join them
I've found playing with a squad who are talking with each other and coordinating, rolling around like a giant ball of dropsuited death is much more fun than walking round a corner and getting blasted in the face by two or more reds, or trying to take a cap point all by yourself only to have a single red come up and blow your head off and then take it back
Covering each other, taking objectives together, watching each others backs - also the people you are with are likely to be skilled if they have the time and dedication to join a corp- makes the experience much much much more fun, you will also get better scores and therefore more SP and therefore more variety weapons and therefore even more fun |

This, the game has come a long ways, it still has a ways to go. Balancing mostly and its been said that the next build will have less new content and more balancing and fixes, fine by me! |

Personally, I am taking a break from Dust until the new build and character wipe/reset.
playing other stuff until then. Dragon's Dogma mostly, but other games like Starhawk and PS Plus titles sprinkled in.
plus 14 hour shifts at work don't really allow me much time to game anyway. |
