I've quit and restarted the game more than once today. I've tried deleting saved data and game data for DUST on my PS3 (the files that aren't the core game and won't require about 5 GB of downloading and reinstalling - only ever find data in "saved data" so far, nothing for DUT under "game data" in the current build) before retrying.
I have one character. I have 3 character slots. I can't use either of the 2 unused slots to create a new character.
The game lets me go through the entire creation process, choosing race, bloodline, gender, etc. I get to the name/confirm screen, hit "OK" and get a loading circle spinning for a few seconds. Then it goes back to the character select menu with only one character. |

Update:
My install turned out to be corrupted 4 battles after my last attempt at this.
I'm re-downloading the game now, and will be installing in a little over half an hour (if the estimated time holds true. So probably an hours or two). So... Yeah, apparently that doesn't help matters. I re-deleted my saved data, and hopefully when I return to the game I'll actually be able to play this time.
I'd just finished a mission, collected a stack of ISK (which was nice), but I got kicked back to the barge instead of loading into a match when I was searching, so I quit the game, then as I was restarting I got disconnected from PSN. I assumed it was some kind of delayed effect where I'd been signed out earlier and maybe that was why I hadn't been able to join a match, but when I signed in and tried to start the game up again, I got the "corrupt download" error message, and the game told me it was going to quit. Instead of quitting, it made my PS3 glitch-beep (the triple beep you get when the system is screwing up) and reset itself.
So... yeah. That happened. I'll post again if the reinstall fixes anything. |

My friend purchased the game yesterday and setup a character. Today he logged on and has no character and is unable to create one.
100% reproducible bug.
1. Create new character
2. Complete naming of character.
3. Sent back to character select screen
Output; new players unable to create characters and start playing
Priority; 2 not a crash but a game blocker. |

I'd actually still call it priority 1, since it means players are literally unable to create new characters. And that, in turn, means new players are literally unable to play.
About 5 mins from my install finishing now.
EDIT: Install finished, game started... still no ability to create a new character. |
