Inspired by the Goon thread.
In this thread, we talk about EVE Politics, both Null and Lowsec, RP-based and non-RP Based. I'm not really aware of any meaningful politics in Highsec.
I've only played EVE briefly, so things like this would interest someone like me, or someone who has never played EVE in the first place.
Like it or not Dusters, we will be surrounded by, affected by, and will affect EVE Politics, the moment we merge with the main EVE server. We should know the lay of the land, so to speak.
So Capsuleers, Mercs, discuss. |

Personally, I find myself less interested in nullsec, and more interested in Faction War. nullsec will be what it is and its not going anywhere. I will jump into some nullsec action at some point for sure.
But I truly enjoy reading up on the RP-based Faction Warfare, particularly in the Intergalactic Summit forum on the EVE official forums. I think initially, to take part in Faction Warfare would be my primary goal.
I'm interested to find out the major players in Faction Warfare and in RP-based stuff., particularly for Amarr, since I've decided to play as an Amarrian. I know that for Amarr, PIE Inc. is a major player. I am not sure though, if they are a Corporation or an Alliance. And I don't know much about anyone else, corporation/alliance-wise and I'd really appreciate the information. |

I'm planning to bring as many members as possible from my gaming clan into DUST, and some of the guys already play EVE Online. No major players in the universe, as far as I know from talking to them, but they're active and aware of how the universe operates, so that should help us going into things.
I'm quite interested in establishing alliances with other corporations and helping someone to build an empire.
We'll see what happens. |

but what if that someone was you? dust bunnies have as much right to make there own empire as the eve players do. But the the ones who choose to do so have to work 2x as hard. Not only do they have to worry about the dust side logistics, but they have to provide for pilots that they have. I'm not talking about DS pilots either. Dust corps that want to work as a sovereign entity need eve pilots to get stuff done.
Rift Corp is taking Faction Wars very seriously. This is would be our first push to see where we stand and how much work it'll take. The caldari are already getting there butts kicked due to an inactive front. When dust launches we have to make sure our fleets are operational and can work as a team to deal with the gallente blob. |

I never specified that my clan's corp will be allying specifically with EVE pilots to build an empire.
Personally, I favour the idea of a mostly DUST-centric alliance. And while it's possible, our group is pretty small and intending to stay that way, so I doubt we'll make that big a dent on the universe unless we work with someone larger than ourselves.
As I said though, we'll see what happens. I'm one of the clan's co-leaders, but I don't force my opinions onto others. |

it's a politics topic, not a recruitment thread, there's a forum for that.
All you people who are championing Faction warfare need to realise that FW is Nullsec lite. There will be elements of Dust that you won't get in FW or random games. You'll need to be in Nullsec to get access to everything like installing features, actually holding planetary sov etc. |

Why is Caldari seemingly underpopulated?
or is that just a Faction war thing, less Caldari players take part in it, or less Caldari overall?
I've been really leaning towards playing Amarr upon release, but that could easily change.
