Irrealavant: Operators currently span every continet, even that one thats not actually land.

Plus i dont really care about our war history but im pretty sure the only major wars we didnt win were Vietnam and The Korean War.And they werent loses either.Vietnam was a police state action while the Korean war never officialy ended.
Vietnam was a civil war, as is the Korean war. Iraq was a major regime change, and we've pretty much conceded every war since WWII. The Battle of 1812 just makes me lol, because over a century later the same people who were fighting one another went on to form the unit that USASOC pays direct tribute to in its unit patch, and the most effective unconventional warfare units in the world resulted. The "sword" inside the spear on Operative unit patches isn't a sword at all, rather a dagger designed by the founding commander of the Devils Brigade (1st Special Service Force). It's also worth mentioning that the current incarnation of Operative warfare is the result of a failed rescue attempt. Canadian diplomats bailed some of us out during that hostage crisis (soon to be a George Clooney movie).
EDIT: largest navy as far as tonnage. Currently there is a service member draw-down. We are 4th in total military personnel and ranked #1 among the superpowers for total capability. |
