ok WTF, how is it that my LAV's big ass HMG doesn't kill someone when I literally put more than 80 shots continuosly into their face the person doesn't die. And then he shoots 1 burst of a Assault Rifle and I die because the LAVs have no protection for the gunner. How does that make sense? |

Was it registering hits? I've used every type of LAV turret plenty of times- even militia blasters can kill someone fairly quickly IF you hit often.
Btw, HMGs for LAVs (aka autocannons) haven't been implemented yet.
EDIT: also, were you in range? |

I was registering all hits, and yes he was about 76 feet away

all e-peen aside - blasters are kittening terrible. don't use them if you want to be able to get kills. missiles are OP, so if you want to get kills with a turret use those.

small blasters suck, and you do have protection, for everywhere but your head when your facing straight at them.

Not true. I've taken gunners off the backs of LAVs without having to do headshots. |

I've been in the blaster of an LAV with an enemy LAV (also with a gunner and a blaster turret) parked right next to me- we were shooting at eachother NONSTOP- only headshots were registering (the turrets were getting hit, and it was being counted towards damaging the LAV, not our dropsuits)
So yes, it is true |

There's the difference. You two were firing head on at each other. I was shooting the guy in the side as he was firing at a group of team mates to my right. Not one head shot, just chewed him off the LAV with body shots. |

funny guy, your a riot! hey guys, we got a funny man here! clap for him all, shower him in beer.. or is it cheers.. beer sounds better
To OP, as it currently stands blasters suck major balls and ned re-worked, you pretty much need to be face to face to do anything with them. Which is a big reason we have so many overpowered missile users and rarely ever see blasters. Ditch training small blasters and switch to small missile for now I would say |

I think either I misread, or the post you were originally replying to made a typo- I believe what they meant to say was that if THEY are facing straight at YOU, you can't hit them aside from headshots.
EDIT: On a side note, a way to improve small blasters and small railguns is to change the "small hybrid turret operation" skill- instead of making those turrets deal more damage per level, they should have a longer effective range per level. |

Added bold to show the part you obviously didn't bother to read.
Nobody said you get protection when shot from the side, only from front-on. So, yes, it IS true, and no, your example DOESN'T prove otherwise. |

I admit I missed it. After reading a lot of things in the forum, crap starts blurring together. Still isn't a reason for you to be a #unt about it.
Also if your comprehension was any good, you would have been able to infer that my last response before you went thick brow and low forehead was an inferred admission of my mistake. |
