Nobody said you get protection when shot from the side, only from front-on. So, yes, it IS true, and no, your example DOESN'T prove otherwise.

And then he shoots 1 burst of a Assault Rifle and I die because the LAVs have no protection for the gunner. How does that make sense?

Which is a big reason we have so many overpowered missile users and rarely ever see blasters. Ditch training small blasters and switch to small missile for now I would say

I think either I misread, or the post you were originally replying to made a typo- I believe what they meant to say was that if THEY are facing straight at YOU, you can't hit them aside from headshots. EDIT: On a side note, a way to improve small blasters and small railguns is to change the "small hybrid turret operation" skill- instead of making those turrets deal more damage per level, they should have a longer effective range per level.

Still isn't a reason for you to be a #unt about it. Also if your comprehension was any good, you would have been able to infer that my last response before you went thick brow and low forehead was an inferred admission of my mistake.
