This thread and proposal is an attempt to change the overall mood on this forum. Trying to offer some sort of haven free of trolling, torching, criticizing and such . Yes, i get this is kinda naive, and tough to pull off but i'm pretty sure some people will be interested to give it a try 
Tourney, lag, bugs, beta process, views on what's OP and what's not, missile spam, strafe debate, let's forget all of this for a few fights ! Let's have some good old fun. Let's, let's :

Here's the deal. Every team that feels like trying this just say so in this thread and leaves one or two people to contact. Every CEO, or PR (:D), add each other and then see each other to set those knife games. The whole purpose is to have meaningless fight with no risk of ISK loss (or very few), no rage, just fun. Once again, JUST FUN ^^
So, i thought about a few things that would be require to enjoy this as much as possible :
Every player uses the same fit : Basic tweaked militia scout fit.
Sniper Rifle is replaced with standard Nova Knife.
Equipment slot filled with militia Drop Uplink
And that's it. Scrambler pistol remains but wont be used. (hopefully)
Then, Two teams decide to go for a knife fight.
Contact each other in-game in a channel that needs to be created: Say "FunBetaFights !"
Decide together of the cheapest contract possible to accept
Once on the skirmish map, NO TEAM takes control of ANY main objectives.
Both teams meet in one specific place on the map. People spread drop uplinks around
And there you have it, 400 tickets of pure SLAUGHTER ! 
The Whole purpose is once again to HAVE FUN. No need to cheat by adding shield extenders, or using bigger nova knives. If you guys have any suggestion in how to enhance this, be my guest. We could do this with a large variety of bogus fights.
Like Sleek grenade fights with militia nanohives all around. ^^

DIdnt had the time to put anything in place yesterday fellas. Real life **** and then a damn good Real Madrid - Dortmund on tv !! 
I'll start the channel i mentionned in the OP. Feel Free to join anytime and we'll take it from there. LAV battles could be fun as well i agree. But it would need to have specific fit for the LAVS so it doesnt cost too much ISK and sets a leveled playing field.
If you have a fitting idea, i'll edit first posts to add it. |
