Radar Early Warning (RAW) and Counter Measures would be a neat addition to the game.
RAW gear that toned the driver when they are being pinged by a lock-on weapon and deploy Chaff/Fare/Jammer similar to activating a Shield Boost.
Would also be neat if there was a full fledge EW station that shotgun or co-pilot could control. Even make it so that it's fuzzed out by a flux grenade for a limited amount of time.
Then the swarm launcher could have it's ordnance up to full speed without nerfing dropships. DS pilots/co-pilots would have to add a new dimension to their skill set other than flying around in a circle real fast to stay alive. LAVs would have a fighting chance against Swarm ordnance. |

This and a MAW(missile approach warning) would be great modules. Beeps more as missile gets closer. Maybe make one go in low and the other in high slot. This would mean armour tanks favor one and shield the other type.
The maw in the high slot since it would also warn of income unguided rockets and artillery shells(assuming it will be like giant mass driver). |

This idea is excellent but it would require a lot of work but it could be done. I think if there was a better segregation and variety of armor/vehicle types it would be great.
The proposed EW station in a tank or drop ship would be something more suited for a very heavy style of vehicle. Say a tank that is even more of a tank than the current ones would definitely warrant something like that, a large gunship would be the same. But the simple things like early warning systems should exist on all vehicle types. Rudimentary counter measures would also make the match up with anti vehicle weaponry a bit better. However anti vehicle weaponry would also need damage increases because right now the counter measure vehicles have against everything is their incredible armor. I am fairly certain that is by design the amount of armor because there are not yet any counter measures or there will never be. |

I was thinking the counter measures would be an active module with limited supply and have a recharge time the exact same way the shield booster works. The RAW gear would be passive.
This way your vehicle has a chance vs the 1 guy with a free swarm, but if the enemy team has adjusted and launching multiple volleys at you then you're toasted.
The EW station was to both give shotgun something to do other than look around and further promote teamwork. A skilled driver can switch to the passenger seat to set off counter measures if this is implemented. Kind of like taking his hands off the wheel and reaching over to the EW station if he is alone. |

Just read this from this weeks update.
[FEEDBACK/ISSUE] Dropships and Missiles imbalance Update: A number of tweaks and improvements to missiles have been made and are planned for deployment in the next beta update/hotfixes. Some of the changes include improvements to missile tracking and speed stats, more tuning for the small and large missile turrets. Countermeasures are also planned for future updates.
Looks like we may get countermeasures! Sweet.
