How Do Sabotage Game Mode Works Sabotage (32 players) - Attackers must infiltrate rival communication facilities and hold two control points at the same time - Once achieved, a final demolition objective is revealed and must be destroyed to win
Basic Tips Squad cohesion is important. There are multiple approach routes as an attacker, so talk to and follow your squad leader and steamroll the opposition as a unit. Having problems getting your squad to A or B objectives? Two or three medics per squad can pick up any fallen teammates along the way, which keeps the squad together on approach. The faction that typically prevails in Sabotage is the one thatGÇÖs willing to make a focused charge at the objective. Sustained firefights at 100 meters from the objective as an attacker may give you a nice kill/death ratio, but will more often than not, result in your loss. If you have a headset, let your squadmates know about the guy under the stairs or in the church tower (yes, I hate that guy too). If you donGÇÖt have a headset, listen for callouts from your team. FRAGOs mean double points. TheyGÇÖre set by your squad leader as a mechanism to give the squad a unified goal and provide double XP when youGÇÖre in the FRAGOGÇÖs vicinity. If youGÇÖre interested in getting more points, these will get you there fast. Advanced Tips On approach as an attacker, drop smoke grenades about 80-100 meters from A or B. This will get your full squad to within striking distance where you can regroup and make the final push to the objective. All final C objective buildings have front entrances (attackers) and rear entrances (defender). A few attackers can often flank C towards the back to disrupt the defenderGÇÖs spawn into the final objective building. This provides a critical opportunity to secure the final objective. Ten seconds of spawn wave disruption can often result in an AttackerGÇÖs victory. Poison Gas and Frag grenades are great ways to clear Sabotage objective buildings of enemies. Poison does nasty proximity damage over time and Frag grenades can insta-kill if theyGÇÖre too close GÇô this provides a huge additional bonus in that fragged enemies canGÇÖt be revived and must travel back to the objective from the spawn point. |

This is def MAG but I don't have an objection. It's a fun game mode and definitely emphasizes team play. Also, it's a nice way to ease into polar maps with one team defending and one attacking. So, +1 |

too bad that fight will end and have no lasting effect on anything real.
The map won't have a location it was spawned randomally. there is no locations in mag it's just a map. PS2 is the same thing. a BIG map but still the same map every time. Dust will be awesome becuase of it's nevr endding map creation. Unless you fight on the same map.
Plus dust had a system like this in the 1st beta. It was awesome so it should come back
we don't have to compare dust to other games to want more complex game modes. |

One sided?
Ohh you mean that home field advantage defending had?
Make perfect sense if you owned the district
As you stated Skirmish 1.0 as a new mode but upgraded in whatever ways CCP has up their sleeve for the future would make for fun gameplay.
Having some objectives that you can hack, or just blow up. Whatever GC calls for. |

It could be done, if you didn't want to take a section of a planet, but just wanted to go in and waste an enemies' resources so they have to rebuild it. I don't see the mode being thrown in just for kicks though. |

You mean MAG didn't steal the idea from BF's Rush mode?. Funny that as I thought they were the same thing all these years.
As for this particular game mode, as people have suggested it was once in the game and the map was awesome. If I remember right they removed it due to memory leaks and such. I think it was called Crater Lake?.
It was a canyon you fought down to A and B, once these were hacked the map opened up and you had to fight to an installation and control a new set of A, B and C within that. It was far better than the current skirmish mode if you ask me. |
