Though I'm fully aware that CCP has final judgement, and more than willing to accept that judgement, but would the hardware failure constitute enough of a 'Server Issue' to call for a rematch of all Tournament Matches this morning / evening?
I'm just curious as to the results, as CCP has stated Client Side failures don't affect the results, but Server Side failures do.

I would love to get a CCP Dev opinion on this? They did say Server Side Failures would cause rematches. So I was just putting out the question.
CCP? Can you shed some light on this situation? |

If that's what the word is, I'll gladly accept it.
However if the server issues were as bad as they were, that may have caused the huge lag spikes, and massive drop outs many of the teams had.
I am more than willing to accept the loss, likely the Southern Legion would have lost to Zion TCD anyway, but I would like clarification, and also would love to put up a decent fight versus Zion, similar to our previous match against them during Weekend One. |

this lag and drop outs have plagued the game since its been in beta, this was not caused by the hardware failure that just occurred a few hours ago, after the tournament had taken place.

Again, I'm waiting for CCP DEVELOPER confirmation.
Failures of hardware may have been progressive, with mutliple problems cropping up before the massive failure.
Our match with Zion, as well as Seraphim's Initiative Vs. WTF... started 20 minutes later than expected, with a One minute countdown once you hit the warbarge.
That seems like they were having issues BEFORE the tournament. |

I think the first match, and the fact that there where issues there before we started atr the other end should be considered. Mind you we had some good players who where DC'd and so did they.
I think the system errors, may also have contributed to some loading in faster than others. As they where already taking objectives as soon as we dropped in |

Add to that that SiSi is STILL down... so there are, and clearly were, some serious issues affecting the server stability.
Can a Dev who's not busy please comment on this? |

Guess they're all in bed now... again! Aussie gamers draw the short straw being too far out of whack to get TIMELY ANSWERS!
I love CCP, don't get me wrong. I want to attend Fanfest to represent the Southern Legion (funds permitting) but an answer to a fairly simple question FROM A DEV couldn't be posted before you all clocked off after your server snafoo? |
