Lets start with the most troublesome thing in DUST so far and how to fix it.
AV/Shield vs Armor/Turrets
1.Swarms: I tend to fully agree there. Swarms are kinda odd. Easy to use, very effective on the ground. Uneffective in the air.
Been said again, and again and over again. But needs to be understood by CCP.
2.Turrets: 0nce more agreed.
Why in hell did you add some skills that boost turret damage ? oO
Also, damage mods up to 20% and that require lower CPU\PG than 10% infantry damage mod ? what the hell ?
Now regarding turret type.
Railgun, AV. Sortof a sniper turret, needs extreme precision, low ROF, deals huge damage.
Blaster : AI. High ROF, perfect for slashing infantry at close range.
Missiles : Should be a troublemaker. Mainly doing splash damage and usefull against group of infantry to disband their positions and force them to go to a safer place. Shouldnt be OSing spam spam spam people. I agree with the ROF that is incredibly high, and the lack of a real reload time.
Also, my other main advice remains the same. Have vehicles have limited ammo. Does infantry have infinite ammo ? no. Do EVE ships have unlimited ammo ? no. So why in hell would those vehicle do ? There should be ways to have more ammo in cargo through modules, wich would mean giving up on some shield\armor\damage mods. Or focus on power\tank and rely on support for supply. Could be classic nanohives, another nanohive type with more nanites but vehicle dedicated (after all, pilot can have equipment.). Could be deployable equipment for dropships or LAV. anything but infinite spam ammo..
Small turrets: Agreed. Everything is in the name. Small turrets.... Small damage. See above descriptions for turret type
=> Small blasters would remain an option against infantry
=> Small railguns against vehicles
etc..
Top 5 weapons on dust of all time
Missiles (see SL from first build)
Missiles (see dropship spam from precursor, splashing and spamming missiles)
Missiles (see Codex and even more buffed missile damage)
Missiles etc..
and more Missiles.
=> Agreed.
Remote Reps: What are peoples thoughts on RRs being handled and taking up one of a vehicles small turret spots?
=> Dont see a problem with that, works this way in eve. Maybe add, small and large remote reps with different rep rate.
Armor vs Shields: Not enough knowledge on vehicle fitting. i'll pass. Even though, i think infantry could use some thoughts regarding shield\armor tanking.
