It seems to me the this so called ORBITAL BOMBARDMENT is nothing of the kind, I called in an OB to land on a standard Madrugar tank,
and all this OB managed was to take out about 90% of it's shield, well - what a waste of an OB in my opinion.
I would have made more points dropping it on an objective with more than 3 men in it and got a better score.
So, can we have different skill level for the OB's that get more bang for the buck PLEASE. Your vids show all kinds of devistation when one hits, and this OB just made a fix and no bang.

Heavenly there is a fine distinction. There is the current thing called precision strike, which is more effective against infantry than vehicles (unless you are working with AV guys). And then theres the "ominuous Orbital Strike" as seen in the deception trailer and stuff. From all the footage it seems to be a mass murdering ray of light, which would most probably crack the tanks open and burn them to ashes. Its not yet implemented (to my knowledge). So later in game you will have the chance to call in different kind of Strikes depending on the situation. i think. |

As far as i know what we have been calling Orbital is actually a persision strike a shot fired from the WARBARGE, the mytical orbital bombardment will likly be from EVE ships, if this is the case orbital will come in sizes from a frig firing to a Battleship which would likly ruin a entire platoons day, to a dread or a titan which with one shot would probably ruin an entire damn map |

The moral of the story is drop it on troops. If you want to kill tanks then spec into AV. |

There will be skills required for use of an OB, they will be required in EVE Online for the pilot making the strike to fit a ship capable of making a strike. |
