Please add a BIG message upon entering the game, notifying yourself yours Squad Leader.
I'm sick of people not placing FRAGO
Edit: Also this:
The symbol for regular people on rarad is a full dot. My own symbol is an empty dot. Squad leader should get an own symbol. Would make it easyer to spot, assumend no defend order is put on em. |

Also a little message informing them on how to use squad orders (kind of like the message that tells you a squad order has been placed, or a strike is available). |

MAG lingo, a FRAGO is a fragmentation order, basically an attack/defend/capture order in this context. It might have some real life military meaning, but I don't know. |

Real military term, short for fragmentary order.
online dictionary definition:
"When a military operation requires a surge in capability, the natural response is to cut a FRAGO to direct military resources to fill the capability gap"
Looks accurate for squad orders to be called this. |

there should be a timer on fraggos.
if you don't fraggo something in the first 3 to 5 minutes of a match,
you get bumped out of squad leader and someone else gets it.
or bumped outta squad would be better.
would teach you to pay attention.

No bumping out of squads, that'd excessive. Only demotion, and there should some kind of timer as well as a warning. Should happen every 5 minutes a squad leader doesn't set anything, beginning of the match or not. |

Having squad member names on the HUD, with an indication of who is squad leader would help with this too.
I never went fully through the help tutorial, did it cover squad leader orders? If not, then squad leader orientation videos, help info and the HUD indicators would all help deal with the issue. |

I agree, the message should be tied to a tool tip.
How do we call it then? Defend orders is wrong, because theres also attack and rally orders. I dunno, but the MAG name seems pretty perfect for me..

Just add a checkbox: "CANDIDATE FOR LEADERSHIP".
So that people who don't care about giving orders don't became leaders. |

I think the HUD for your suit is the major issue, it needs vast improvement. I'd like to see a stock ticker compass at the top of the screen that moves when I change direction. I really don't car who killed who and with what, it that makes it look like a clone of every FPS.
On the side of your screen it should list people in your squad there names, and with the person at the top the squad leader. The names could flash if they are under attack, and go red if they are dead. Give the rez icon if they need to be revived.
How about the left on the D-Pad to quickly put up on the screen arrows point to were your squad mates are. |
