straight up ridiculous. if a dropship wants to outrun a swarm volley, it should have to use afterburner mods. tanking a swarm volley is one thing, but simply flying in circles without any fear of the ****** swarm mechanics is ridiculous. |

Make injector prop mods easier to fit on a dp. My myron PG struggles to fit nothing but a prop. Props arent all that effective anyways. |

im not too concerned with dropship cpu/pg requirements anyway. i dont lose any sleep over a dropship nerf since they are not meant to be offensive vehicles anyway, those are gunships and those will be implemented later. dropships are transport vehicles, hence the name "drop"ship.
if you want to consume all your cpu/pg with high level weapons, well thats a choice you have to make. tanks also have to pick between offense and defense, so this is not one sided.
as it currently stands, there is only one weapon that can reliably take out a dropship and most lemmings dont bother taking it out cause they cant be bothered to drop the ar |

too bad the rocket launcher is too good for it to be used as a "drop" ship. people running in them get tons of kills making it a pain for everyone on the enemy team that doesn't have multiple forge gunners running around. and even then if the pilot is any good at fitting he can eat a few shots of forge guns and still make it to a safe zone to repair.

There are no dropship prop mods. Transmission mods are for HAVs and the injector mods are for LAVs. The afterburner mod requires so much PG that only an armor dropship can fit it, and only by devoting every slot. That makes it useless. |

CCP made them gunships by rewarding only kills. It's right there in the dropship pilots manual: "You will be rewarded an assist for each gunner kill, and nothing else. Slowing down to embark or disembark passengers will likely result in swarms knocking you into terrain resulting in destruction of your ship."
High end weapons don't require many resources as noted in many, many threads the best ones are missile launchers, and those fit pretty easily.
Dropships are the games current gunships. In the future we will get much better gunships that are designed from the ground up as killing machines. |

I agree with everything except the out running missiles with afterburners. That just should not be possible......
As I mentioned in another post, the swarm missiles seem to be 400 years behind the rest of the future tech. |

giving drop ship pilots points for having allies spawn in and the ability to eject people will help make them more DROP and less GUN ships, also i think drop ships should have just one gunner and that gunner should get a 360 degree view underneath the ship |

Its not the dropships, its the swarm missiles that can't catch up to them, and for some reason have a "heat seeker" effect instead of the shortest path. |

They barely even need to fly in circles anymore- just turning slightly works.
Also, to make something clear to people who want to extremely buff swarms: while swarms are extremely underpowered against dropships, they're slightly overpowered against LAVs. Buff swarms wrong, and LAVs are doomed. |
