I'm not sure if I just suck or if maybe I've got something setup incorrectly but I can't seem to get a good aim on anyone. I'm constantly over/under correcting. It's really taking the fun out of the game.
I'm not new to FPS games, I've been playing them since 007 and I've never had this much trouble. |

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one having issues. I normally prefer the PC and Xbox, so I kinda figured that maybe I was just having an issue with the PS3 (I've never liked the controller), I bought an Xbox style controller for the PS3 but that hasn't seemed to help much.
I have been leading with the cross hairs so that could definitely be part of the problem. |

I've tried messing with the X&Y sensitivity as well as turning "aim assist" on and off. None of it seems to make much of a difference. Either way aiming is terrible, staying on target is extremely difficult.
If that wasn't bad enough since they've reduced the amount of isk you get for each round I'm stuck with the standard equipment.
The game still plays more like an Alpha than a Beta. The Beta is supposed to fix minor flaws and weed out bugs. But there is still major work to be done in the game. CCP has a bad habit of pulling the trigger on things too soon, I hope for their sake they're not planning on releasing this to the general public any time soon. |

Has anyone seen a major difference between using the keyboard/mouse setup versus the controller? |

Hard to say if it's acceleration curves, deadzone, or aiming lag but definitely it is off. Add to that slow movement and turning, too long granade throw animations and R2 "wheel of laggy switching disaster" and FPS fans might not be pleased at all.
Haven't you heard, ask any of the forum dwellers, sorry I mean EVE players. This is not an FPS, it's an MMO, or an RPG, or an MMORPG. Or very occasionally an MMORPGFPS. I suggest you HTFU, leave your stuff at the door, without letting it hit you on the way out. Get out of New Eden because CCP have their own way of doing things, adapt or die. Go back to COD console fanboi.
Well thing is, this game is being targeted at a mass console audience, if it's going to be successful it has to come more in line with other "AAA" titles currently available.
It occurred to me the other day that maybe the PS3 itself is partly to blame. The system is over 5 years old now, maybe we're reaching the limits of what the hardware is capable of.
Aside from aging hardware all of CCP's servers in London, so anything we do here US side has to go across the Trans-Atlantic cable system along with tons of other traffic. |

When changing the sensitivity settings 0 is fastest and 100 is slowest. This messes with a lot of people trying to adjust their sensitivity.
Yeah it seems there problems persist no matter what the setting is. 30 seems to be the best for me, but there are still a bunch of other issues. |
