I left Dust for a while and came back today to realize that the aiming sensitivity is still terrible. Its as if the aiming in on an exponential curve rather than a logarithmic one. As soon as you are out of the joysticks deadzone, it feels as though the proverbial "aiming amplifier" has been cranked up to 11. what I'm saying is that there is no way to finely aim your weapon. I got more kills through spray-n-pray than I do through aiming.
I have tried setting the sensitivity in the menus to 0, then to 100, I have tried enable/disabling the aim assist. This is crazy, I have never had this much problem "migrating" my aiming skills to any other FPS game. I may not be the best at FPS games, but I play them quite a bit, I know when the sensitivity has gone the way of "Dafuq is dis ****?!"
What I don't understand is why this hasn't been fixed. This should be on the top of the priority list as it is a major game play flaw. If CCP wants to attract the crowd that would normally play Battlefield or Call of Duty, then this is a real game breaker and for most of them this will be the #1 complaint.
I love CCP and I am addicted to EVE, but unless this is solved, I foresee this as a major deterrent from player retention, even if the game is free to play. |

the overall controls feel sloppy. try switching a weapon, its not smooth at all. the whole controller needs some fine tuning in this game, as well as lag |

Yep, totally agree. An FPS game play should flow, from aiming to strafing to switching weapons then launching a grenade, this can can all happen in a single one on one shoot out. You need to know that when you choose to throw a grenade it's a simple matter of clicking a button, holding it for a couple of seconds to cook it then making it land where you want to. Not, and this is how it is at the minute, pressing L2 a couple of times until it finally responds then waiting a few seconds for it all to catch up with itself.
THIS ISSUE NEEDS FIXING ON THE NEXT BUILD! Pretty Please..... |

lol.. i thought it was just me being rubbish :) i remember having to press buttons several times... then getting shot in the process...
i know games are good when they stir some emotions... but when its mainly bad emotions... it needs addressing or some people will turn to other games.. i'm sticking at it 'cos i like the game and have become a little obsessed with the skills and possibilities for my player.... :) but i have to remind you that i do turn the game off in a bad mood more often then i leave satisfied with my battles... this spoils the infinite possibilities i have planned for myself playing your full release game in the future. i hope im not sounding harsh.. i dont mean to.. im just trying to be honest from the gamers side of things. i like these big games that could last months/years.. im getting older now so arcade type games bore me... i've been waiting for a game with the timescale this could have for me... im looking forward to it if it can be sorted out. |
