IMO I don't think CCP wants to release yet, but on the other side of things with every article I've read related to Dust that involves Sony, it looks like Sony is pressuring for an earlier release. So you have CCP wanting to make a great console MMOFPSRPG and you have Sony wanting them to hurry up and release it, so I'll let them duke it out while I continue to report bugs/glitches and stop trying to anticipate. I don't think it's ready for a full release and even though it is F2P releasing too soon could still hurt it because alot of players may never come back to it. On the other side I also know that even after a "full release" CCP will continue to improve on the game so it doesn't bother me either way. We might as well consider open beta as the full release though because with open beta anyone can join the fight and it's F2P anyway so honestly what's the difference?

Perhaps this is why CCP is labeling the next builds open beta rather than full release so that players can at least be reminded in some way that they are playing a work in progress.

They've been doing that for years.

I would have to disagree simply because your still going to be facing a character wipe before full release. Every thing in Beta will get a wipe before full release.

Just look at the number of topics appearing in this forum. However: If they in fact release this game in 2012 it will be a total failure and since eve online and dust are linked eve will suffer too. They way I see it CCP shouldn't release this game before July 2013
