Regis Mk V wrote:There should be timers in this game for spawning vehicles. If CCP did this vehicle spam would happen less and punish players for letting there vehicles be destroyed. Rocket turrets on tanks as support gunners is just lolwtfbbq. The support guns for these vehicles should be nothing more than stronger versions of the HMG. This game is unbalanced plain and simple.
This game also needs in door objectives. By putting more objectives in doors it will cut down on vehicle spam and make infantry combat more meaningful and force vehicle drivers to get out and fight on foot for a change. Doing this would also make other weapons more viable like shotguns and smg's (CQB where they belong!) All of these out door objectives makes it entirely to easy to faceroll with a vehicle.
Dropships should be nothing more than troop transport the rockets make them equivalent to an attack chopper from BF3. If dropships are that good I fear what the gunships will be like.
I know most of you don't like me but who cares.
TBH I want the game to be good but at this rate it'll crash and burn. Only vehicles I ever see used in large numbers are LAVs, most of them militia, and they die to a single shot from my Advanced swarm. I can even kill the Standard ones just as quickly. You rarely see more than one Dropship in the air, and Forge Guns deal with them quickly. Since this build I've been in a total of 7 matches where there's been a tank other than mine.
tl;dr What vehicle spam? |

Right now if you really want to push an objective just get a vehicle... Also they need to fix the sounds for the LAV or is it just me that they run on air? Electric motor. Very quiet. Very advanced technology... Honestly, an engine that's as quiet as possible makes a lot of sense for a light vehicle like an LAV. Without a lot of defense, its ability to move quickly without being heard is quite an asset. Besides, all you have to do is jump to the side when you see the headlights moving up the ground in front of you. Only issue I can see is with those jackasses that jump out with an HMG as soon as you dodge their jeep and just gun you down with 5 bullets. I think they should have boarding animations for vehicles so you can't just teleport out and hose down a squad before teleporting back in and zipping away before anyone can even shoot back.
Oh, or zapping instantly into the gunner's seat and killing you with one missile to the chest. |

Shijima Kuraimaru wrote:Back to the issue though... I don't use vehicles, but I understand that if you limit vehicle spawns by a timer, or by numbers, then you limit the game for people who spec into those vehicles. What you're asking for is tantamount to asking for a limit to how many times someone can spawn with an AR, a specific drop suit, or any piece of specific gear. Yes, exactly. This game isn't like Planetside 2 where you can just start rolling around in a Vanguard the moment you star playing. Even with a militia tank, you still have to buy the parts, and if you get a better one, you've put skillpoints into it the same way as someone with an AR. Why should you have to suffer limits in using an asset you spent time training for while they don't? |
