EULA Chapter 6.3
"You may not use your own or any third-party software, macros or other stored rapid keystrokes or other patterns of play that facilitate acquisition of items, currency, objects, character attributes, rank or status at an accelerated rate when compared with ordinary game play"
So it looks to me that they mention nowhere about hardware items and also a rapid fire when used in battle to kill does not directly facilitate the acquisition of items, currancy, objects, character attributes, rank or status.
Doesn't look like a punishable "cheat" to me.
I can hear the accusations incoming now, for someone to defend such a thing must surely be turboing it! Well I have used it in the past because I use the Eagle Eye Converter and wanted to try it but I roll Heavy with a HMG; Hardly beneficial with that gun. |

Well I have used it in the past because I use the Eagle Eye Converter and wanted to try it but I roll Heavy with a HMG; Hardly beneficial with that gun. If you read that section of the EULA carefully in order to understand its meaning, this does actually prohibit the use of rapid keystroke devices and patterns of play that we deem to be unfair. However do bear in mind that button bashing is not going to help you cheat, as rates of fire etc are determined by the server. Anyone using a KB & mouse can also tell you that the look speed etc is limited regardless of input device.
I did read it and it does not specifically say that you can not use it for the purpose of shooting and killing clones.
Quick fix, edit the EULA if you want to prohibit aftermarket controllers with rapit fire capibility.
I was under the impression that EULA's and other signed documents were to be taken verbatim so if their was ever a reason to use them in court they could be used legitimately and not up for interpretation?
I don't want to cause much trouble but as I see it if CCP implicitly wanted people to not use a rapid fire mechanism for shooting or killing, then it would have been added into that part of the EULA. |

It is only childish to assume people will interpret Law the way you want it to be. Which is why if they want people to not use rapid fire to shoot a weapon in the game then it should state just that.
