With the current state of WP awards in CODEX the gun game among triage players has been drug (by the nails) to the fore. While painful this gives us support folk the chance to compare our 'kill or be killed' methods and loadouts. If this thread receives sufficient participation I'll summarize it and post the condensed version in the training section so that new players who wish to join us as healers (without dieing too frequently) can benefit from our experience (and thus hopefully overcome the learning curve quickly enough to stay in the game ).
So fellow Logi players please respond to the following questions.
- What weapon do you run, and why?
- Faced with an enemy when do you fight and when do you flee?
- Favored method for pulling out of a hot zone? (e.g. sprint, call LAV from cover, et al)
- Top three favored loadouts to run with, and why?
[*} Most frequently used dropsuit? (Asking for type/Meta level here as I assume we're all in Logi suits )
- insert question & answer here if you think there's anything I've overlooked :)
My responses
- SMG; Due to rushing/getting rushed while healing/repping I end up fighting most in close quarters where the SMG shines
- Fight if the enemy is wounded or if my squad is present and fully healed. Flee If caught alone, if the enemy is a Heavy, or embarked in a vehicle.
- Sprint 'cover to cover' pausing crouched to regenerate stamina as required.
- 1. Heavy: The benefit (and make use of) our rep/res/resupply greatly and are willing to provide you with 'mobile cover'. 2. Armor based HAVs, they provide great cover and area control while surviving long enough for you to rep them back up. 3. Any dropsuit packing a Nano Injector, I keep people alive, thank you for keeping me on the front lines where I can do it.
- Type 1: Every deployment is Risk vs Reward. The lower cost of this suit (in both ISK and Skill Points) combined with 3 equipment slots makes this my 'go to' suite. Save the Proto gear for Corp Battles.
Let's get this rolling and provide our Logi new blood with ever advantage.
Cheers, Cross
ps ~ I've seen some great threads on the forums with Logi info, if you know of any please link them, thanks! |
