Am i the only one who this this weapon is retardedly powerful(read ****** strength). For no skill points you can take out any LAV with 1 to 2 shots. No skill points invested whatsoever...
Compared to the Forge gun, that is a pretty big SP difference.
Please tone down the damage or make the swarm launcher start at 1 rocket, and have the skill up perhaps make it give more rockets, instead of the worthless effect it has now of increasing the splash radius as i have seen proposed on other threads. |

Honestly, all vehicles other than militia variants should get a 1000 hp bonus to their health |

Yeah, it can take out a poorly fit militia LAV, but if you fit that same LAV properly, good luck with that. |

The same as the militia swarm launcher fitting, anyone can call in a militia LAV, so I think they're balance. As stated above, if you outfit your LAV well, militia swarms won't have it easy. |

AV > vehicles (atleast its supposed to)
so if you have a vehicle, and a swarm launcher at the same skill level the swarm launcher should win, the advantage you would have is that you can potentially fight anyone or thing, and the AV guy can only fight you |

That's not necessarily true. In StarCraft 2 Terrans counter Ultralisks with either Marauders or Siege Tanks, but neither a Marauder nor a Siege Tank can take an Ultralisk one-on-one. AV should be cost-effective against vehicles, but they shouldn't be a total counter. I'm certainly leery about them being free. |

Nope
20k AV fit can currently take out a 700k+ gunlogi fit on his own
A proper fitted tank should never be soloed, that AV guy shouldnt even have the option to do this but as it is in this build tanks got nerfed to paper so they can |

well my way of thinking would say, if you have a tank that is meant to use 3 people, it should take 3 similarly leveld AV guys to take it out
i dont want someone with a proto swarm launcher taking on a BO tank 1v1, but 3 guys with proto swarms vs one should win, that doesnt mean them simplying having the right gear is all they need.. they shouldnt be able to just run right over the tank |

Yeah, but the difference would be any guy running around with a proto swarm/forge fit, also has to worry about any rube running up and killing him with an AR, while trying to take out said tank. |

You can't think of it in terms of "if I didn't kill the vehicle I failed." Vehicles, even LAVs, cost significantly more than you're going to bring in in a single match, so they have to survive at least a few. The goal should be to force the vehicle to flee and repair, with vehicle destruction only happening if the driver or gunners make a mistake.
So yeah, if your AV squad goes one-on-one with a HAV you would expect to win. But there is no one-on-one in DUST, so you have to include an assault or two meaning you may not be able to alpha the HAV down, but you can force it back behind the protection of friendly infantry.
If you really want to go nuts you could have a HAV on your side. After all, this isn't "vehicles vs infantry" it's "vehicles and infantry vs vehicles and infantry". |
