... Are they valuble assets to a corporation or are logistics players expected to have an Assault suit or Heavy suit in addition to their primary because of how quickly they die and the fact that the Nanite Injector can be used by Assault suits?
As it stands we die very quick and don't have much battle prescene, which normally would be a good thing if we were in a group of mixed units. I once played a match where i counted at least 6 other logistics players on my team (not including myself) and we got slaughtered due to the fact that we're pretty squishy compaired to everyone else. Maybe i just need to "Get Better" but that's kinda how i feel. Maybe this doesn't matter much to Corps. or maybe it does.
Anyway a response would be great thanks |

Yeah i greatly look forward to when the WP gain for Repair Tools gets restored. (fingers crossed) It's currently my favorite peice of equipment.
What i was asking though was whether or not players that Solely played with Logistics Suits were valuable to a corporation as opposed to a player that switched between an Assault Suit and a Logistics Suit.
Lets look at it this way...what's more valuable to someone looking to recruit a Logistics player to their corporation?
Option A: Logistics Suit 100% (For the purpose of being the best Logibro they can be.)
or
Option B: Logistics Suit 30% (For the purpose of being able to adapt to the battle as they wish.) Assault Suit 30% Heavy Suit 30% |

By "Ground Snipe" do you mean that you run with a Sniper Rifle? if so that's definately a tactic i've never considered. I buff my suit with Enhanced Shield Extenders since the Armor Plates slow me down and make me sniper fodder. |

Osiris Greywolf wrote:I LOVE logistics players, so long as they know what there doing, ie, balanced equipment. In my corp Logistics is ok, and much wanted, but you still need to know how to shoot, and be able to defend yourself. :) if your looking for a corp btw, just give us a shout, like I said, were always looking for specialists!
I'd like to say that i am capable but the truth is is honestly don't know. In my opinion, no matter how frusterating it is sometimes, a Logistics player is only as good as the team he supports. you know what i mean? |

If you don't mind me asking, how often do you die? And how far away do you stay from your squad? It seems in that case i can see the upside of being farther back to avoid direct contact with the enemy and sniper fire isn't as troublesome since you can fire back. I like to stay as close as possible to my squad, or Blue's if my squad leader doesn't have a mic and doesn't lay down directions, so that i can heal and support them as effectively as possible. So i'm curoius as to the tactics developed by other Logistics. Maybe when it comes down to it, it's just the advantage of being in a Corporation. |

I never have trouble getting my corp to pick me up, and Heavy squads love me. I run 2x shield extender, 1x plate, 1x rep, then the rep/hive/injector or rep/inject/link depending on need.
The only other suit I have is a slight change to the starter AR AV suit.
I gather you use the Mass Driver, and a Type 1 Suit? I couldn't get the Mass Driver to work for me and i Currently use:
Type 1 Suit GEK-38 (assault rifle) 2 Enhanced ShEx Militia Armor Rep. (BPO) Militia PG Ex.(BPO) Militia Nanite Injector (BPO) Millitia Repair Tool (BPO) Nanohive
As it stands with how wonky ISK is i was thinking of switching to a normal Assault Rifle instead of the GEK cuz kills arn't my main focus and everytime i die i have to pay 17K for the GEK alone. |

lol that would be the ideal wouldn't it? And that's actually what i aim for but i don't try to pick fights i can't win. it's hard to be the best gun when your using the weakest suit. I do place a heavy Emphasis on surival though. Though in retrospect there is alot of room for improvement. |

Maybe when it comes down to it, it's just the advantage of being in a Corporation. i die around 0-3 per game and usually end up around 15+ kills and i stay back at least 50 yards. most of my corp knows where my line of sight is that way when they run into some guy with insane shields they just lure them into the open so I can drop em. playing with random people i just snipe on a hill watching a objective.
And being 50 yards away doesn't hurt your support game? Also there's been a couple games where i've been shot by you from a hill lol never knew you were a Logibro though. Wouldn't you be more comfortable in a Scout Suit? (not judgement or sarcasm i'm just interested) |

Spent lots of time on support skills, now working on my equipment skills.
Wow thats a pretty impressive Fit. I think i'd cringe whenever i died in that lol. I've never heard of the SVER Logisuit and can't find it on Market. Did you mean the "Skinweave" Millitia suit? |

very interesting opinions and views :)
I'm curious about another thing hopefully my fellow Logibro's can help me with.
Nanohive Vs. Drop Uplink: Which is more "Worth it?"
As far as i can tell both of these modules are very nice. Normally i'd roll with the Nanohive since everybody needs ammo. And it requires less PG than the Drop Uplink.
What are your thoughts on which is more useful/appreciated by our Teammates? Is one more useful than the other depending on which mode (Skirmish Vs. Ambush) your currently in?
as always you views and opinions are appreciated |

Ah Nahtlog, I know you. Well don't know if you know me, you've killed me a bunch of times before (more so when i went by a different character name). Didn't know you were a Logibro.
You make some excellent points and i'm extremely envious of your Dropsuit Fitting which i assume is T3 or 4 given you don't need a PG Enhancer for all those goodies. How much SP you need to afford that kind of suit is beyond me lol.
I'm well aware about the "Double-Edged Sword" that is the Drop Uplink and i myself do try to put them in places where they're not easily seen or detected. What's kind of frustrating though is how i'll put it in a very "tactical" location (such as behind enemy lines/objective) and they'll never get used but when i put it somewhere obvious (like right up next to an objective) it'll get used and then either destroyed real easy or abused by the enemy.
Nanohives on the other hand are somewhat tricky cuz you have to find that niche where a player can access it easily, it's not seen by the enemy, and players that go to it are semi protected from the enemy. which is sometimes hard. |

whaaaa? there was a special edition Merc pack that included something from MAG? Interesting. though i think it's pretty cool that CCP gave MAG a shout out. Loved that game back in the day.
and your right the squishy-ness of us logibro's is another factor on NH Vs. DU. it's not like we're Sniper scouts we can't just run accross the map (or drive) and drop an uplink behind enemy lines. Every time i attempt a solo operation during a game (whether it's my choice or the spawn systems >.>) it always ends badly for me no matter where i am. |

Yeah i'm just starting to get to that point where i'm comfortable not using a Militia Dropsuit. The light damage modifier is a tremendous help, surprisingly, to my survivablity since i can gun down foes from a farther range more easily. I really would like to use a GEK-38 but it's just to darn expensive. right now I pay about 20,000 ISK to restock my Type-1 Logibro suit.
8400 - (Type-1 Logibro) 4000 - (Assault Rifle) 2400 - (Basic Armor Plate) 5800 - (Enhanced Shield Extender)
Was thinking maybe move back down to a Militia BPO Shield Extender to ease my wallet somewhat. |
